I was wondering what the difference between a mirage plus and a quicksilver prop was

Quicksilver is a low performance, standard design prop and Mirage is a performance oriented prop.

A quicksilver thunderbolt prop is the same as a mirage + without the vent system.

Be careful of buying props on E-Bay. You could get an outboard prop which won't fit an outdrive.
Easiest way to tell the difference is to look for a machined step where the prop meets the drive housing. No step....it's an OB prop. Also, even pitch numbers are OB props too.
Check the part number to be sure.

Found a 23" Mirage Plus on E-Bay, starting bid is 57.00.
Cheap enough????

In the pick below, see the step to the left of the word "Mirage".

Stepped area fits inside the bravo drive. Not a performance enhancer.

It does help to keep fishing line and rope from wrapping around the shaft. Does not stop it but does help.

I would recommend a Mirage PLUS. It is a higher performance propeller with a better bite.
