1997 26 Scarab
best yet 80.7 (GPS) with four people and 3/4 tank of gas.
I will be trying a new lower unit with an Imco nosecone , less people and light on gas. Hopefully I can see 81-82

B.R.S. _i'd say 81 on GPS is great for an 'old & heavy' boat!

Jeff it takes ALOT to get these old ones really moving. With 1200 horsepower I think it should be faster but I have serious X dimention prodlems. One day I'll get around to raising them up.

OK, how about radar verified 88 MPH with no positive trim and running as stable as can be? Only good enough for second place in the single engine V hull mod class. The first place went to a Red 26 Scarab CV at 90 MPH. The picture was taken at the end of the chute just before the radar boat. Later in the day I was showing about 2 - 3 more MPH on the Gaffrig as I was starting to get the feel for the higher speeds. Looking forward to next year.

This is old, now running a 1996, 32 Sunsation with 502 roller motors 79.5 mph Top Speed GPS, waiting for a nice 55 degree day so I can say I went a real 80mph. I have tried Bravo I, Mirage Plus, Spinelli's, and I keep going right back to the old reliable Mirage 27's (nonplus) for the best speeds.

Speedo says about 68 WOT with almost no gas. Last Radar Run had me at 65mph with half tank.. GPS with 3 people and full gas around 63...
This all with my untouched 330hp 454 efi...
