I need a boating fix
EricG
Ask and ye shall receive....

Unfortunately, the weather up here in the great NW isn't near as bright and shiny as it was when I took this pic.

Having another boating site is Great!!

These handle rough water well? (the 22-25ft range)
cuda
The 22 Classic runs well in fairly rough water. The 22 Zx is more of an all out powerboat, and it will fly. There are some very good deals on 22 Zx's out there. I love the 22 Classics, but I just cannot justify the prices they get for them.

The picture of your minx looks like its in pretty rough water. the zx's handle that pretty well?
cuda
I imagine they handle it as well or better. Btw, that's not me in the picture, it is the previous owner. He said it handles rough water great. I hope to soon find out.

The early 22Zx's were available with big block 454 mags, and 502's. Donzi quit putting them in the 22's because they were too fast, and worried about liability issues. They will flat out fly! The main gripe about the Zx was it had captain chairs instead of bolsters. Some people changed them out to bolsters, which cramped the back seat passengers a bit. Really good looking boats too!

I like! Can a normal person fit in the cuddy?
cuda
This guy had a supercharged 520 horse BBC in it. It would run 80+. It looks like it's riding pretty well in the rough in this picture.

I love my 18 classic

Scott, what do you think rides better in the snow, a Criterion or an Arctic Cat?

Will the Crit handle 4 to 6 foot drifts??
X-18
The Crit handled the drifts very well. The Michelin street tires on the dually were "exciting"

Happy New Year!!!

Here's our little Hot Rod Classic 22,,,,,, "Talk about a Blast to Drive" We can't stay away from it ........... Does that mean I'm Hooked, or something ....... Now ?????

I love the classics. I had a 16 with a 150 merc ob and an 18 w/ a 350 mag. What a blast. Great jumpers.
( If you were in the front. The passengers in the rear always complained about the lack of handles and the meager padding on re-entry.) All my friends wore their Donzi bruises proudly.

If all goes according to plan, by noon tomorrow I will be the proud owner of a 1996 ZX 33 with twin 502's. It will be a big change from my '89 251 Liberator with twin 350's.  :D
