Superior Quality: The Speedwake Trim Tabs are CNC machined from Billet 6061 T6 Aircraft grade aluminum. For those of you who know about the hardening process, you know that T6 is the best hardening process.

The Speedwake Trim tabs will be available for sale in the Speedwake Store in a few days. They'll be available in multiple powder coated colors or in a number of 2 color fades; like the ones shown here.

The 30 inch tabs are designed for boats with staggered engines and extension boxes, while the 24" tabs are primarily for use on non-staggered performance configurations. Both 24" and 30" tabs can be installed in just 10 minutes per side, offering serious handling enhancements in just minutes along with a serious "bling" factor.

The Speedwake 30" tabs can be notched on special order for serious performance boaters that need prop clearance with non-staggered engine configurations.

Speedwake Billet Trim Tabs allow you to replace those ugly cast aluminum Kplane tabs and put some real 6061 T6 Billet aluminum on the back of your boat and make dramatic enhancements to the handling in just 20 minutes!

30" tabs shown.

Bery Bery cool looking... They will make a great welcome home present for my new Scarab.. They might even match just like they are...lol....

I am not in need of them really, this boat will only be going about 68 right now... till I can afford engine rebuilds and some huffers...

T6 is the way to go... As it turns out most automotive cylinder heads are hardened to what is known as a T6 hardness. This hardening process is done shortly after the part is cast and serves to relieve casting stresses and to create a more uniform metallurgical structure. The T6 hardening process involves heating the casting to 1000F for about 6 hours and then quenching the part in water for a few seconds. Next the part is 'aged' in an oven at about 320F for around 5 hours and then allowed to cool to ambient temperature. The result is a part that has a Rockwell hardness on the 'B' scale of around 84-88 and a nice dense and uniform metallurgical structure.
