The problem is we won't have 5 this year, only 3. I know there are some insurance issues to work through as well. I think they'll get it done

Hey old man :)

It would be cool if callan put his back in for a couple run's . He's a turbine guy in my book .

Is bud select still building his turbine ? that would be four .

In surance truly is the issue. The first time I heard that I was skeptical . But the reality is each body should be insured in case of fire etc. I was really surprised to find how much work and legal issues go into creating a new class. There is a responsibility to the safety and (or compensation ) to each racer and their families as grim as that sound's .

I have a good feeling the 5 will be here by race season . :D

Will crescent city have the new cats youre building ?
That poor little town wont know what hit 'em this year . Fun venue , remind's me of st cloud type atmosphere. :D
Scottyb
Bacardi is building one be he says he is not going to race it. Callan is on the fence but I think they will come around. Arudda has another customer building an MTI but it won't be ready until the end of the season earliest.
5 would be great, but there just aren't that many around. We will be happy to have the five by next season. Ours will be for sale from Day1, If it sells, we will immediately start putting another one together.
Yes they will be in Crescent City. I am heading out of the office now to Arrudas shop because the Platinum arrived last night :D

Scotty,

Turbines are bitchen power plants. I've been told that you cannot get insurance on them as pleasure boats. You know anything about this? I actually heard a $800K Skater burned to the water line and had no fire coverage becuase it was turbine powered.

As far as I know, you cannot get insurance on them as pleasure boats yet.
The Platinum is done, the MTI is about a month away.
and there are pending deals on a 40 skater and another 44 MTI.
This will be an exhibition class this year and hopefully a full blown class by 07

Scotty,

There's no doubt the turbine class could really boost Offshore attendance. I'm happy to see you guys going forward with the program.
