This is great loss to the boat racing community.

Lee was a driving force in making a boat race into a festival event.

Lee’s events set the high water mark for what an event could and should look like.

His attention to detail in the television shows for APBA Offshore from 2001 -2003 still shines bright 3 years later.

While Lee only raced once he was truly a fan of the sport. A successful business man and attorney Lee had many options to occupy his time and many groups vying for his efforts. We are lucky to have had Lee and I am lucky to have him as a friend. When my 18 year old dog’s health was failing last year Lee would call everyday just to check in. Lee was the kind of guy who was always your friend even when it was hard. Lee, Mike Allweiss and I would have huge arguments and then go out to eat together. Lee did more for the sport then most will know and he was like a big brother to me.
He will be missed for a long time.
