The Demise of a former Fountain Owner               >>> CLICK HERE FOR THE ORIGINAL THREAD <<<

If you have been following this section, you should have gathered that Fountain Power 35 has deserted the Powerboat ranks and joined the board boats with a Malaboo boat. His first outing this weekend at the OSS races turned out as I predicted.
First, it took him 45 min to make 5 min trip in a Fountain, as the water was rough and he couldn't make any time with a 12 degree bottom. When he did arrive the first race had started and he rafted up to my 38. He said if a mutual friend arrives in a 42 Fountain, he must go on my STB side so we don't crush his Malaboo. Well, he got stuck in the middle and the Malaboo was a great bumper between two real boats.
gilla
The roll bar looked like the sale rack at K-Mart or Ace hardware.
gilla
Once the races were over and being in a hurry to get up to 32 MPH, he found that his new Malaboo wouldn't crank. One of his riders told him to switch to the other battery----WOOPS-my old Fountain had 2 but this only has 1, and it was dead. Seems those tinny 50 Watt speakers pull down that wal-Mart battery when they are on for a couple hours.

The solution-a little combo battery booster/air pump-also from Dollar General. Here he is under the passenger seat trying to hook it up.
gilla
He finally gave up without success. The one armed mechanic from Chicago hopped over and tried to get it going, just so we wouldn't have to tow him back. Well the mechanic found the ON/OFF switch on the battery booster and got him started immediately.
gilla
Here is the one armed mechanic-due to ineptness, and a passenger in the Malaboo, suffering from too much alcohol the night before, discussing the problem. You can imagine how that conversation went.
gilla
Does anyone think they could communicate with this guy?? It was 68 degrees and the sun was out and he was dressed like he was going to a Packers game in December. It must be true that alcohol thins the blood.
gilla
Fortunately, there were no serious injuries. New ones that is.

Like to know why my one arm mechanic didn't have his brace on!!!!!! Shame Shame! :winker:
Downtown42
at least the 22' didn't have "It's Good To Be KING"
gilla
I did find one boat a little smaller than the Malaboo. His battery never failed like his big brothers did.
gilla
The only other ski boat was a little classier than the Malaboo. Although it was a little older, it had a class crew, especially the the guy with the combo hunting boots/deck shoes.
They also had two women which the Malaboo boaters tried to buy.

WTF. Did you borrow Dom Scotts camera phone????
gilla
Without the courage to enter the 74 degree water, the Malaboo boaters relieved themselves during their consistant beer drinking by standing on the swim platform in their board shorts and letting it run down their leg. then a qucik sit down on the platform to make a token attempt to clean their suits, they were back in the Malaboo. Very embarrassing. the three older women on the Sea Ray behind us had a front row seat to these gross acts. Wonder if the Malaboo has a Fresh Water Flush for the carpet?

Nope-Laughing too hard to stop the camera. I first though he might be a Texas boater with the boots, but the sticker said Sweet Home Alabama.

This from guys with no hair !!!!!!!!!
FountainPower35
Dennis,

You need to rephrase that he has no hair on his head. He has more then enough on his back and arms for at least 5 heads of hair!!!!

I have let GILLA have his fun with this post and my new boat, but I can no longer hold my peace! :devious:

GILLA- I really have been thinking about all of the Purple on your 38 and I think if you painted your drives and truck Purple the set up would be complete. You should think about getting that outdated windshield off your boat and get the new low rise trimmed in purple. All this would match your new swim suit.

So what is new about not being able to hold your peace?????

You couldn't find you peace, let alone hold you peace Sunday afternoon, or your beer, your bladder, your starter switch or your eyes open after 5:00 pm Sunday night.
That is not a boat, it is a Frat House that floats. The only thing missing was a FOOD FIGHT.

For cars it has always been "If it don't go, chrome it". For boats, it is now "If it won't run over 38 mph, put a lound stereo on it" Just don't forget to add a battery.
FountainPower35
It runs a respectable 54 mph. Thank you. ;)
gilla
??? I know it can't have a gps??
obnoxus
HEY !!!!!!!!! I HAVE THAT SWIMSUIT !!!!!!!!!!
