Let`s see......60 gallon tank @ 1.40 / gallon = $84 per tank. About 1 tank per weekend, roughly 25 weekends.....wholely gas fumes Batman, that`s $2100 !!!
But wait! With the Texas fuel tax refund, I should get back about $300. Then my buddies will usually chip in about 1/3 or so.....$2100 less $300, less $700....OK about $1100. There, that sounds better!:) |

| I ran 105 hours last year on a single 502ci 24 footer at 1.40 a gallon, this year will be 502ci twins in a 32 footer at today's 1.80 a gallon, should be an expensive summer. Its a short season so I don't give a rat's a$$ and I will go in debt to run it. |

| $1.40 a gallon I wish, I was paying $2.05 at the marina, plus $400 a month for storage, so I sold the big boat and bought a smaller one, and a new trailer to bring it home with, now gas on the raod is $2.05 a gallon, so now I get to double that for the boat, and the truck to pull it to the water. Plus, We use our boats 12 months out of the year down here. Just my Luck, I am not even going to try and figure it out. I guess you can all figure out why i have only one engine, and its not even a big block!!!! |

GAS my boat takes gas. Dam thats why it ran so bad last year...............

How many times did i get passed last year?
How many times did i run into something with my prop?
how many times did thunderstuck pass me by?
ANd the most important .....How much did i drink last year ??? Now thats a question for fast boats

Well, its three years later, the hours are down around fifty and it looks like closer to $2.50 a gallon this year, I don't make any more money so I would say boating has going to be much more expensive. My how things change :rolleyes: We could only wish for a roll back to 03
If I thought I was going in debt then, now what should I call it???? |
