Looking for a new boat.

Ok Guys, Heres the question. I want to spend about 40k or less on another boat. I'm looking for something older. ( i was really interested in Fred's 40' Excalibur untill he took it off the market ). I'm looking for gofast style of coarse, similar to the excalibur or stinger ( older miami vice style as its called ). I know alot of you guys have been through alot of boats. Give me some ideas of good and bad boats out there. I'd love to have something newer like alot of you have but don't really have the budget, So I'm going RETRO COOL. I'd like to to go between 50 and 60 mph and have some decent cabin space for the over nighters. I don't mind dropping a few more bucks in it for an interior and or some minor repair work. What do ya'll think?

I was just gonna say SONIC, great boat, built right here in FL, and that one looks REAL clean, if I was in the market I would take a look at it, unfortunately, I am about a year away from buying another boat.

I am giving this one away. I need a smaller Single engine boat for some planned, co-operative R & D this Winter! Having a boat with Triples just doesn't cut it for testing purposes.

I 'm asking $25,000 for the boat! It is alot of boat for the money! Keep in mind with the Outboards the cockpit is moved back a bit giving the cabin space of a 38'!

Got a Baja 30 foot with twin 454's worked with about 5 hrs on them for sale for 30 grand if your interested.

Julie, That is a sweet boat but I am a true big block fan!!
Nothing beats the sound of a pair of big blocks!

Jayl13 I'll take a look at your pictcures but was really looking for something alittle bigger. I have a 26 now a was hoping to go 33 to 35 maybe even 39 or 40

Dave, Believe me I have look at your ad many many times, A very beautiful boat. and def in the running for me. Only things that hurt me on that one is no trailer and I'm not a big fan of the side by side seating.
What do you see for speed? Did you ever take more photos of her as stated in the ad?

rssfla, yeah I have a ton of fotos... have some great helicopter pics from a poker run... she does have two sinks stand up head kick *** stero w/ 10 disc c/d .. three sets of props... runs in 58-63 mph... just re surveyed ...at 46k

60 MPH at 4000 GPS speed that is with 3 blade 25 P Mirage props on it
Going to try a set of 26 and 27 quad blade bravo ones next spring to see if I can get cruising speed at 3000 to jump to about 55 (right now 47-48 GPS at 3000 RPM's)
Wicked Cams, Dry Exhaust, New sea water pumps, new exhaust, new intakes, new holley carbs, all dyno tested, new heads, new pistons new cams, lifters, push rods (all internals new)
New gimbal rings, new shifter cables hell everything
have shoveled just about the asking price into this boat in past 2 2 1/2 years!!!

Anybody in the JAX area know this boat?

1985 Scarab with supposed 200 original hrs
Motors have just been gone thru ( paid 7300 for the work ), I guess it had a cam flatten ( whats up with that? ) 454 400 hp TRS & borg warner drives new paint and a trailer for 36k

Not as clean as scarabMCD30's boat ( I do love your boat ! Spotless! and still a strong consideration )
