Super Hawaii 40'?

I was tossing around some boats with a friend today regarding boats you dont see everyday.
The 40' Super Hawaii came up.
Anyone ever been on, own, have a pic, have a comment on these.
Whats teh cabin like.
I have to assume they are big heavy slow deliberate boat...is this true?
Thanks

One of our members has a super Hawaii 40.

It is a really cool boat.
The cabin is very spacious as on would expect on a 40' boat. I would not call it slow either. The SH seems to like more speed.

I'll see if I can get the owner to chime in.

I own the 40 Super Hawaii. King size V berth, Microwave, TV/VCR, bathroom, custom all leather interior. Stock motors, new 502's installed in 2001, CMI's, K & N is all the added equipment I have added. Does 68.5 GPS, and rides like you are going down a pair of rail road tracks. (which is why we call it the Lead Sled) I hang with boats that do over 80 but everybody falls in behind me when things ger rough. We spend alot of time on either the Checapeke Bay or in the Ocean (we are at VA Beach) What did you want to know (if anything) about them. They were on the inside cover of Powerboat Mag. back in 1991 when they first came out. They nade 13 boats prior to turning their sights on fishing boats (Intrepid) and use the same hull for them. They did make a 34 as well (don't know how many of those)

wow great info...thanks.. after reading this and seeing some pics of some, I have not heard much bad at all. May try to see if some are for sale...I like a boat you dont see at every stop you go to.
May have to add this to the list ...

Boatman572,

Is that your bullet on MWpowerboats? If so, that is the best looking bullet I have seen thus far! I really love craig223's new boat, but the paintjob on this boat is incredible.

If it is yours, why the narrow swimplatform?
