ok Im trying to get my boat dialed in here is what up so far

64.6 about 4750 on the rev limiter
full tank of gas, and trimed all the way up
wont get top speed if not trimmed all the way or less than full tank

I dont think I have the pad flat as it should be

here is a pic

any thoughts?

Don't know much about this stuff but here's what I had at one time. When I had a Bravo 4 blade 24p on the boat, I had to keep the trim all the way up to get to top speed. Switch to a Migage Plus 25 and trim is almost all the way up. Go to a Mirage 25 {not a plus} I get more top end, and need alot less trim. Don't know if there's a correlation here or not.

If your on the rev limiter, why not get more prop? Looks like a good running attitude to me. Any more positive trim and forward motion is sacrificed for vertical lift.

P.S. DUCK BEHIND THE WINDSHIELD !!!!!!!! Less wind resistance !!!!!

the prop is the direction Im leaning to , Im running a labbed 23 mirage plus now plus the windshield has been replaced with a windscreen :)

I have some thoughts on what needs done but want to see if anyone else has the same

I thinking there are 3 problems.= prop, x dimension and balance between bow and stern lift. plus the boat have a factory hook in it

Sounds like you issue is all in the prop. get up with a couple people, try a bigger prop. There are several places who advertise on speedwake that you can try, We have a place here in buffalo called pier propellor. If you would like the # i can get it for you. I know if there are places more local they may loan a prop to you for sea trial, pier prop has done that for me a few times

thats the plan for the spring, still thinking of doing something with the x-dimension

At the speeds you are running now you will see much more difference from changing the prop than from fooling around with the X dimension. If you need a full tank to get to top speed then you MAY have too much bow lift in your current prop. Maybe your boat will run faster on a longer, narrower surface and the only reason you gain by trimming up is the reduced drag from raising the drive.

A lot of people seem to have had good luck with the Mercury Tempest prop also. Worth a try if you can find one. ALso, if you can get your hands on a Spinelli 4 blade around 24" that might work for you. It was the only 4 blade prop I tried that was a fast as a Mirage on my boat.
