Our two boats are identical in speed. So close that its annoying. I'd rather either Firstborn faster or me. Favor the ladder of course.

Question to ask while Tony is away on his honeymoon, what can I do to get one #@#%ing mph!!

Both are 288 Sun's with hp500's mine is a EFI and his is a carb. I'm doing the springs in the spring (no pun intended :p: ).

I ask, what can I do? This message will self destruct next Monday morning :D

Wet sand the bottom.
Be sure the drive is very clean.
How's the prop? Call Throttle Up.. They can help you get a bit more out of it...
Lose some weight if you can, but he'll notice if you dont have any cabin interior and back seat.. ;)

There are two ways to solve your problem. One, as you mentioned, is to make yours fraster. The other, and also the cheapest route, is to Tweak his prop while he is out of town. A crescent wrench on the blade edge and a hard rubber mallet on the bend should do nicely. In Canada, you might want to heat it up a little first or it might break.

An alternative would be to remove the Sunsation logo and replace it with a BAJA. Automatically he will be 8-10 mph slower.

My chances with Santa were shot last February, and that was just for what I was thinking. I don't have to do anything to get in trouble with Santa. Thats why xmas is best when I do my own shopping.

RE: pic.. SHWEET! :vcol:

RE: naughty thoughts... it's tough being a great, big, hunk-a-monkey in a happenin' town; isn't it? :winker:

Jeff, since you are replacing the springs anyway, just pull the heads have them ported, throw in a little bigger cam with the correct springs and remapped ECU. It will still look stock but you should pick up some horsepower. There are a couple of guys on the site like MAXPERF who may be able to help you.

Splinter, I'm to late for that, already bought the Merc springs. I couldn't get convincing enough info for engine mods to make me feel comfortable with the reliability.

Tim G may be onto something with the wet sand!

Tim, we both run 26lab bravos, and they are perfect! I would be afraid to touch it.

Who has wet sanded they bottom? Mosi, you want to chime in here ;)

The answer is Whipple, but untill I have the scratch I thought someone out there may have an idea I havn't yet thought of.

Sabotage is out people.

Funny Baja idea, sorry Touchy, but it is funny.
