The P5 I referred to used the Frenzy Product. I have not used the Shark Skin yet. It does wipe off with ease they put some on my coach and it came right off without great amounts of work it really just wiped off!

Dear Frenzy, I am curious about your Product going out on all the new Fountains.

Fountain of Youth's Product Quickshine is what goes out on every new Fountain! It is used because it works well on & off quick, leaving incredible shine & color definition.

Also one of the reasons they liked it is because it didn't have Carnuba in it. Which is not shop friendly and melts sliding to the edges causing yellowing.

Fountain Powerboats did find it was hard to get anything to stick to the boats when they left the plant such as shrink wrap tape downs, but we cured that problem my last visit. Kevin ( Owner Fountain of Youth )

Waxing Frenzy

Kevin,

Perhaps they are using both products. It is possible. No one has exclusivity and it's a fickle biz!

I would like to clarify that Carnauba is not yellow in its pure form. Certain formulations of it may be. Fornunately, ours does not present itself in the way you described. That would suck, huh? The carnauba in our wax will disipate at high temperatures, leaving the silicone and polymers behind for shine and protection (up to 1210 degrees F).

Yes, the adherance problem was addressed with us, as well and we resolved that while we were at the factory.

Glad to know Fountain has at least 2 good products!

Just to throw my 2 cents worth in..... I started using fountain of youth products a year ago. After trying about a dozen miracle waxes. (read very skeptical)and I can honestly say that I have not used anything that is so easy to work with and actually stays on the hull. The water stains that I used to get from leaving the boat in the water over the weekend wipe right off!!

Thats my opinion for what its worth.

Mr Touchy...I am not sure that you are a credible endorsement for any kind of wax. As it is I, that is the one usually applying it. :laugher:
As for Fountain of Youth products, I would recommend them to anyone, but keep in mind that intense sunlight is bound to break down even the best of products.
I find them to be easy on the hands, easy to apply, easy to get off with no residue.

What makes these products better than Collinites??? I started using Collinites cleaner and waxes last year and they both work great. However, I am always looking for a better product, but I am the ultimate skeptic.

Will these products help with the YELLOWING hull stains from one day in the water????

:jeff: Cool. I see Frenzy has joined in the Q & A.
Q: How long does it last ?
Q: Will it clean up oxidation ?

The reason I ask is I have used many products that did exactly what they proclaimed and made the boat shine like new.....For about 2 weeks :(

Great Thread!!!

We are all anxious to hear and see the results. I don't believe anyone of us likes to wax the boat.
I am curious about the Collinites? First I have heard of these. Where do you get them? How long does it last? How hard is it to apply?

Thanks, JimmyBaja

Waxing Frenzy

Ditideoneon:
To answer your question about how we compare to Collinites.... Ease of use. Cleaner, deeper shine. Our wax contains no petroleum. More advanced technology.

The main thing that makes our wax last longer than others is waxes are not attracted to your finish (for more than 2 weeks). That's why we have developed Waxing Frenzy to contain carnauba wax, with silicone and polymers. Our polymers (unique to our product) and silicone combination are attracted to your finish like a magnet, keeping the wax on the boat longer than the normal 2 weeks.

The formulation of Waxing Frenzy is the latest in American and European technology, which is why this idea may be so "hard to believe". It is the first of its kind and we believe we have raised the bar on boat maintenance products.

Check out the latest issue of Powerboat Magazine. Look at the reflection on the Poker Runs of America boats. They were waxed with Waxing Frenzy at Fountain's factory.

Several of this site's members have ordered our wax. I'm sure the "reviews" will be posting soon.

Thanks for your interest.

I too have tried the Collinites. I saw a positive review on it and then tried the stuff.
It was "okay", but a MAJOR pain is the arse to remove.
In fact, I only did part of the boat. It now resides in my garage.
Too much work!

Waxing Frenzy

Sorry, I did not address your question about the "yellowing" on the hull from 1 day in the water.

Many boaters will remove the yellowing with muriatic acid. It works, but ultimately damages the gelcoat. Gelcoat is very pourous and you will find that the more you use harsh chemicals, the more you damage the gel, thus opening it up for more damage. It's a vicious cycle!!

They have been testing our wax on just this issue at the Fountain Factory. What Ron found was that there was less yellowing with Waxing Frenzy. Now, keep in mind, that the results totally depend on the current condition of your hull.

Another avenue would be to apply Teflon to the hull, wait 24 hours and then apply the wax. Ron has had great success with this process, leaving the boat in the water for weeks. He said "the lines wiped right off". These tests were conducted in California and Florida.

I will contact Fountain today and see if I can get them to post directly (from the horse's mouth, so to speak).
