Have you priced a Donzi 22 classic, they are just about as bad. :p:

As a matter of fact, YES I HAVE!!!!

My recent thoughts were to get into a 22 Classic, and hang around with Cuda, and his Crew, in fact, I was supposed to ride on one with a 502 last weekend in St. Cloud, but it was a little rough to spend 3 hours on the hook in a skateboard. Then I priced them, there are some decent older ones for OK money, but the problem is financing a 20 year old 22' boat. The new ones are over 40K, all the way to around 65K, no f'in way for a 22 foot skateboard!!! My thoughts then switched to a 22ZX, hang with the classic Donzi boys, and still have a capable offshore boat, then I priced them, almost as bad as a classic, and you can no longer get a BB in a 22ZX :banghead:

The way I have been shopping lately you would think I had money or something   , just trying to figure this all out, so when I am ready, I know what I want!!!

I am between a rock, and a hard place, either I save 20K(which will take a while), and buy a decent used boat, or blow the bank, and put my house on the line to buy a new one

RCHEVELLE71, I had been looking at 22 classics also. I found a few late models (95-99) with big blocks, low hours, and overall clean looking between 22 and 29. Actually i still have a few of the ads printed out. I have read reviews that say the boat likes mild power. I love the classic, it was the first fast boat I had ever seen. A guy at my lake bought a new at the time black hawk edition back in the early 90's. Being 11 years old and seeing this sleek black boat start up and hearing the crackle just made me drool. The guy still has it actually, I will own one some day.

YES,

They are out there, but if I go with the classic, it will be an all out speed demon, since there is no room for anything else  The blackhawks are supposed to get a little hairy to drive, and expensive, I am staying as far away as possible from them, coolness factor YES, but not worth the hassle to me. I was hangin with a guy over the weekend that has a 22 classic with a 502EFI   claims 70+, now thats what I am talkin about(his is a 99, and he only paid $24,000, stole it), I would like to find a deal like that, add hydraulic steering, then whipple it :D :D :D :D :D :D

BUUUUUUUUT,

The wife will have no part of that   , so I think I am steering more towards a used big block 22ZX(so at least she can go hide in the cabin :laugher: ), or my original plan of a 24 Pantera
