cuda, whats weird is the gun has been the same for the most part for the better part of 20 years (first guns were what 87 or something?)
been relativiely the same since day one.
This revolution line was just a real weird looking boat, i think since it did not fit the 'classic' offshore boat lines, it just sort of was there. I dont know anyone that ever went gah ga over a rev.
look at it, just weird looking. Those 2 weird looking pods that are what 9 feet long?
that recessed hatch in the boat, never even seen the cabin in one but im sure that is ok though.
I just think they are weird looking plus the gun was the best performer in their line, why go to a rev when the gun is cheaper, faster, higher resale, more pleasant to look at?

I'd never seen one until two years ago at the Corpus Christi races. It was a nice looking boat. Sweet paint and sounded very healthy, but I agree, I just can't get into the look they've got. What's with the mark agaist their performance? Just real heavy? Something about the hull's hydordynamics? What? Anybody got the definative answer?

some Revolutions were ill concieved and ended in disaster....

and it certainly is an interesting looking boat.

some pioneers were ahead of their time and many pioneers ended up with lots of arrows in the back.

one thing I know: if it's a cigarette you can count on it being built strong....

The one you saw in Corpus is a buddy of mine and it runs pretty good about 95 or so, it isn't a slug but it has a bunch of HP under the hatch too. It is a really nice boat, matter of fact he lost a motor that weekend there in Corpus................. Cool boat thou...........

Spent a lot of time on a local friends...he had an awesome paint job. He had the two black deck pods faded into the hull paint sheme. It changed the lines of the boat ( looked great ). he spent a lot of monies trying to correct the bottom to get bow lift and make the boat run faster. On it's best day, it ran low 80's with Cobra motors making approx 900hp ea.

Do not know if his cabin was staandard or custom. He had a spartan interior, builtin cooler ( no kitchen ) and a very neat oversized chaise type chair facing the sofa.

I could always count on a phone call from this friend when they issued small craft advisory. That was his favorite water. he was the only guy I know that would ride around the Bay looking for freighter wakes to jump!

I just knew there was some powerlifting squirrels under that hatch! 95+ Wow. We were all just hanging around waiting for our signal to start up and make the parade by the stands, jaw-jackin, and jeewiz, talkin boats when he started up. Everybody turned to see what it was. Seriously good music. That stacatto that only boost can make. Ahhhh! I was on John's 38 Scarab "Just Say No" as a guest for the races. Went out as course watch and absolutely LOVED IT! That boat ain't no slacker either!

Now that's my kind of guy there! Wahooooo! I love when the winds get up around here. Everybody gets off the lake, we put on the jackets and kill switches, and it's time to play! What can I say, wannabe racer.

Look behind the Scarab's radar arch. That's the Revolution tied up to the other Cig. Gives you a view towards the front.
