The restaurant was GREAT!!!! I have wanted to go for a while now, But last November when we were down for the Worlds, Florida Powerboat Club had it blocked off for themselves
So we ate at this Dump across the way, they had great food, but the place was a mess

Yeah, I went to look for Brett, and Bruce, after the race, at the ramp, and then the cranes, but didnt see them, DID see the Nichols offshore boat going out to test, so we went back to the bridge to try to get a glimpse, but didnt see much. Then Jen wanted to relax so we went back to the room, and Pool for a bit before dinner. Went to the dry pits Sunday, and seen Lap Dance, in the back corner, but no Truck, and no Brett.lucky strike said:

Did a little too much of that this weekend celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary at Mai Cai in Fort Lauderdale. Their drinks are VERY good! Expensive, but worth it.When you make it back to Key West there is a small shack a little ways off Duval called BO's that has awesome Dolphin sandwiches. It's the ugliest restaurant I've been to, but the food is incredible. Inexpensive too! Some locals pointed it out to us the last time we were there.

Not sure of the name of the place, but there is a place, near the water, but out of the way, kinda walk PAST Conch republic, and down into the back alley, 2 stories, mens room is outside behind the kitchen???(good luck finding it after a few drinks :laugher: :laugher: ) is that the place??? Well anyways, same deal, UUUUGGGGLY, but good food cheap

Mai Cai is a Polynesian restaurant that has a Hawaiian Lua right in the middle of the Main room. Drinks were like $8 to $15 a piece, with a $35 drink for four that comes with a personal dance from one of the hula chicks. My wife wouldn't let me get one! :lick:
It was on US1 a few miles south of Commercial Blvd. Very cool place.

I know the place, never been there though. Thats quite a ride for you isnt it?? We usually just go to Shooters, or the Roadhouse on the water down there, or head down to Beachplace, and go to LuLu's.
That place in Key West is a trip, I asked the waitress where the Mens room was, and she says over there, OK, so I head over there, and cant find it??? I musta looked like a Drunk idiot scratching my head lookin' lost, after a few minutes I figured what the heck, so I go to the bar, order a beer, and ask the bartender this time, he says over there
, So I go look again, and cant find it, So by this time I really gotta go, so I head around the building to take care of business, and I find a door behind the building, guess what, its the Mens room :banghead: :banghead:

My camera makes it deceiving, it was pretty choppy. Not 4-8, but this was bayside of the bridge, looked a little worse(betterSwamplizard said:

Helluva drive just for dinner! We wanted to keep the Hawaiian theme though because we did a cruise around Hawaii for our Honeymoon. Not too many places like that around our neck of the woods, so Lauderdale we went.RCHEVELLE71 said:OH YEAH,

That's too funny about the men's room! :laugher: I would have done the same thing and gone out in the parking lot.

Stayed at Kingsail, not bad, it was very clean, Nice Pool, Nice docks, and Decent ramp(not that I had my boat with me)

We were at a friends house on the oceanfront at MM 74 from Sunday the 9th until Saturday the day of the race, and it blew out of the east at constant 20 to 30+ MPH. The Atlantic was rough as hell, but the wind seemed to drop somewhat on the day of the race. As our luck had it, we had to be back in Lauderdale in the afternoon so we missed it. See ya in Sarasota!!!! Just a prop???? Did you hit something????
