Thanks Jpclear. I was trying to find a web site or something of his but was not able too. I was going to email him and ask if he is still building or what as I have found threads with good feedback from his work.
Thanks again

born2burn, \Martiniboats tabs are the one's I want to put on my boat as soon as he makes up some that I can swap with my ram's. He makes beautiful stuff.

Is it possible for me to get in contact with your friend that is running this hull to compare and contrast set ups and ideas?
I am not sure. He is not generally on the internet and I don't have a current phone for him. I will talk with him about it when I see him but don't know when that will be. We usually meet up at the lake.

Laster that would be much appreciated. These animals are far and few between and would be good to talk to another owner to compare differences.
Thanks again!

I contacted Brian about the Martini tabs and here is a shortcut to his web site for future use for you guys. Unfortunatley he dosnt have a complete kit as he only retro fits for other systems.

I am now headed out to the river to do some testing as I have a 23 Mirage +, Revolution 4 ventilated version, and I believe a 23 Quicksilver can-cleaver and a 24 Bravo one which may be to big but my selections are limited in my area. I will post characteristics of the different props and speeds with GPS.

Okay everybody I think I have issues. I have lost 7 or 8 mph since last year some where and all I did was change the spark plugs from what I thought to be the original Champion spark plugs to a set of NGK "R"s and a circulation water pump with new belts.

Quicksilver 21 can-cleaver 5000 = 58mph GPS more trim
Quicksilver 23 3-blade 4800 = 58mph GPS little trim
Mirage 23 plus 4200 = 58mph GPS little trim
Bravo 1 24 4-blade 4000 = 58mph GPS little trim
Rev 4 23 4-blade 4100 = 58mph GPS little trim
It is obvious that I need a 4 blade as the torque twist is absent while useing one.

This is a 365hp carb engine with 330hrs on it. Sounds like I better do a compression test and leak down cuz seems as if I lost power somewhere.

 SUGGESTIONS

Seems like any prop I use even with minimal trim it proposes at 58mph GPS. :devious:

I also took more time to check X-dimension and it is 5" for sure like I suspected the first time I checked it.

Ask Julie again. The Q-silvers are slipping big time. Especially if you are at a 3" X dim. The Mirages and Bravos are hooking up, not slipping as much and not allowing you to reach efficient hp/rpm's. Try a 21" Mirage. Do check for a hook cause I spent some years trying to top 60 mph and when I did it all the right way,(the hull blueprinting, etc.) there I was at 80+. --- Jer

I also noticed that the Q's have diverent hubs than the 4 blades.

I am at 5" X dimension after a recheck.

OK, I was writing while you were. That "X"dim. makes lots of difference. I said earlier on that 3" seemed awfully high. I think that we are back to square one here. You are spinning your wheels. (no pun intended) Get us all the VERY MOST ACCURATE INFO. YOU CAN and I'm sure we can help you go faster for less $!! --- Jer

5 inches is on the conservatively low side, but I really don't think that is your porpoising problem. Iw ould have to go back to the possible hook situation for that. Was this trip out the first for the year? Maybe you have a fuel delivery problem from some bad gas from storage over the winter...
