Chesapeake Bay - Thongs & 4th of July

Ok, now that I have your attention ;) I'm new here, my boyfriend just bought a boat :):):):) Just wondering about a couple of things:

Can I wear a thong on the Chesapeake? I know we're kinda conservative around here. Anyone have any experience with this? Really looking more for any womens' opinions or guys regarding their wives or girlfriends - as opposed to 78 guys saying "yeah, do it!". Are there any ordinances against it? Do many women do it?

Also, WHERE'S THE PARTY FOR JULY 4!!?? We got the boat, now where to??!! We're going to be coming from the Severn River.

Hello Missy,

Let us be the first to welcome you and your boyfriend to the area! We boat on the Chesapeake all the time. While it's not the common occurrence it probably is in the Florida Party Coves, we do see ladies around the bay in thongs, I even occasionally talk my wife into wearing one of hers when we go out :) , occasionally. I don’t think you will run into any trouble with the law if that is what you are worried about. Hell, the last time my wife and I were anchored out on the Wye river, a 20 footish walk around drove by, and the guy aboard was stark naked. My wife pointed this out of course…

I see them every so once in a while here, the lower Bay around the James/Elizabeth River. It does attract attention, hopefully not negative attention. My girl does it when we are out, but covers up most of the time when we are at the docks.. Go for it! :D

We boat on the upper chesapeake Northeast, Elk and Sassafras rivers to be honest I have rarely seen a thong worn :blush: . As far as if its legel of not hell yeah it perfectly ok with me if you wear a thong :winker: Welcome to speedwake
