After everbody's varying thoughts on horsepower I thought I would change the subject a bit. I tore my prop(23 mirage+) up at the lake last week. I have seen some 24 pitch props around(Hydromotive and Mirage+) and wandered what kind of rpm change or performance change I would see on my 272 Baja Shooter.
Prop Change(23 to 24)???

the 23 mirage+ is the same as a 22 pitch hyrdo quad 4 on my boat.

BEFORE you damaged your current Mirage plus how was it performing??the four bld usually runs a little slower,probably best to have yours repaired and labbed,this would be the least costly way also.Luckyduck said:

The mirage + was handling awesome!!! Taching out right at 5000 with full trim. I think this is the right prop for me as well. I will probably just repair the mirage+. It is not causing vibration or anything too noticeable. Might wait until winter. How much more to get labbed??

it has less blade surface area for increased midrange accleration, and 2 degrees additional rake for lift.
overall we have found that is produces best of both worlds as much as possible on a 3- blade propeller.Thanks for asking.
