everythings a go just need report back from surveyor on structural integrity of the hull. supposed to do that tomorrow. Broker is a nervous wreck tried to talk me out of survey. Personally I think its o.k. but wont be such a good deal if it needs stringer work.

Would like to have it for the air show this weekend. Joe you and michelle are welcome to hang out with us the rest of the season if you want. Oh yea we might need to use your truck to get the new boat to the water though LOL .

Bob, I would love to help anytime I can. Unfortunately, this weekend we have camping reservations at Kelley's Island. We are pulling the camper out there Friday afternoon. I can probably still help you out. You probably plan to stay the whole weekend, right?
I could probably get you out there on Friday, take your trailer to my house, and come back for you on Monday. Let me know, I would be more than willing to help out.
Are you scratching your head right now? That's understandable. Let me explain, I have another truck. My father will be coming down, he can take my truck and camper to the Island, and I can take his truck to go get your boat. Let me know, I'll be there!!!

Mach 1 Bob you storage is paid for the season at Commodores.... why don't you talk to Jenifer in the office and leave her there until end of season... I can tow you if needed!!! Dave... call me Bob....

We are heart broken, surveyor reported center stringer gone moister meter reading 30 on a scale of 1-30. Basiclly needs stringer work, transoms wet needs to be kept an eye on. Only stringers good were ones that were already done. Transom seemed to be good below the water but soundings got worse as he went up. Also core under deck gone. surveyor said mushrooms were growing out of center stringer.

We didnt mind cosmetic fixer upper but I dont know it I want to get into stringer repairs. We were under the impression structure was good after being repaired at stem to stern. Surveyor still says boat value still at 20 grand even needing those repairs but do I wont to do them?

Sorry to hear that the hull is a wet mess but better to find it out now. I know that you want a bigger boat but take a step back and make sure you want to tackle this project because once someone gets into those stringers and transom it could get costly. Chances are those motors will need freshened up in the near future also.
There are a lot of good boats out there and it might be wise to take some time and look around and not rush into it. Winter is coming soon anyway.

I wonder why....? I suppose you will never know if this boat was previously surveyed.

Sounds like this boat needs some serious urban renewal. If you're willing to dive into a major project, it may be worth throwing a very low ball offer their way. As an alternative, could put together a deal, subject to boat being corrected your satisfaction.

Talked to the broker and told him if he had it fixed, and my surveyor resurveys stringer work, that we would still be interested for agreed price. Owner had engine compartment re-strung at stem to stern and said he was under the impression that they fixed everything, so he is going to talk with them. As of present the deal is off.

Hey Bob...what happened to you guys yesterday???? thought Kevin was gonna track me down?? .... any one going out today???... Bob did you make the final desion on that boat???? :a6: ever hear back from the owner???

Dave we left the yacht club and went left instead of right. I thought you were going to come by lakeside and hang out with us for awhile. Sunday we stayed and watched the air show then Jill and I ran by dead dog cove looking for you. Kevin's boat sure runs good, the acceleration from 50 to 76 is awesome rides smooth as glass.

As for the scarab if they fix the stringers We would still be interested. The owners supposed to be calling stem to stern and see why it all wasn't repaired but we'll see. I'll tell you we sure would of liked to have it this weekend. That air condition sure would have been nice.
