the big guy here figures 79 to 82 new...after 40 hours or so probably a mph or two faster...assuming light load, half tank, etc...Aqua-Holic said:Cool....what #'s does the 288 achieve w/ the 525?
the BIG KAHUNA - I saw some engineering shots today of the F4 with staggered 1075 Merc's and #6's hanging off the back...Jakewood said:Thats right...you said you were going to be on-site the beginning of this week...
I bet you have the inside scoop on the new big kahuna
So the step is aerated from a vent somewhere topside? How does that work? I think I'd be a bit nervous with a big old hole in the bottom of the hull - I'm assuming there is a duct or similar that runs to vents in the hullsides or deck?Speedwake said:a picture of the 288 external step ventilator...
The 50 O/L have been venting their steps via tubes from the step to the gunwale in the cockpit for a couiple years now. I forget where I read that.dockrocker said:So the step is aerated from a vent somewhere topside? How does that work? no - not at all - you see the end of the vent - when the boat is coming up onto plane the end of the vent is out of the water and a vacuum is created under the boat - thus sucking air through the tube.....dockrocker said:So the step is aerated from a vent somewhere topside?
