Yeah, those are HEAVY boats....
They need big power to run.
Classic bottom, kind of like the Pantera or Magnum...

They were alsoi built by another group under the Cherokee name, I believe...

You'll probably over pay just for the name, but guys that have paid a lot less will smoke it...

You'll probably pay 70k for a eraly 90s with 502 carbs... assuming good condition and low engine time.
There are other ways to spend money.
Remember- An old boat is harder to get a loan on. Maybe you're at the threshold now, but it will be hard for the buyer to get a loan on it when you go to sell. Then you have a 28' boat that you need 50k for... and now you need a buyer with cash...
This will run just as well in the rough, and smoke it on top end :winker: . about 1000lb lighter....
cool , mines worth 70k now
getting a loan isnt a problem with a reputable survey.
ask craig223 if you dont believe me. he bought his Bullet with no money down.
i have nothing bad to say about Pantera except DONT BUY A NEW ONE if you expect to get it in less then 1 1/2-2 years. other then that , Pantera was on my short list when i bought the Apache.

My wife and I rope monkeyed for Steve at the Wilbus poker run(thanks Steve and Pam that was a blast)and that boat will flat get with it!!!!

502' and the acceleration is killer..
thanks Chris! its always a pleasure hanging out with you guys.

in my opinion theres nothing out there that compares for a rough water ride in the 28 ft. range and in the price range im comfortable with except a Pantera or a Cig Bullet.
its all about what water conditions you boat in.
if i boated in calm water ide probably own something very light and fast.

from what ive heard , no new 30 Apaches have been built yet. Mr. Mcmanis is waiting for enough orders to start building them.

Thanks for all the compliments guys, (and girls). The are built like brick Sh*thouses. 15 years old and not a rattle in the boat. I had to replace a gimbal last year, and after pulling the star. motor you really get a good look at how well they are built. Pain in the azz to work on, motors are tight, but well worth the hassle.

The market for Apaches is a unique one and you can't really judge what any of them are worth exactly because there are fans out there that are willing to pay whatever the cost if they want a particular one badly enough....with a recent survey my loan was approved in one day - no issues.

I own a 41 and two weeks after I bought it two people contacted me about buying it and their offers were more than I paid !

Go figure.......

Great Looking CIG!

CFD5's boat hauls booty!! We ran along side a FAST 29 Fountain during one of the poker runs. The fountain was ALL over the place! We were steady eddy!! It is a SOLID boat!!

The Pantera's are extremly well built boats also. We have 2 28's here in cincy. They both are great looking and run relly good!

Ask Wildthing who is faster. My 28 or his 28 Pantera. Of course I have one more engine than he does. All kidding aside, Wildthings Pantera was the first one I have seen up close and it is very clean and very well built. I have always loved the lines of Pantera's.

Well the Apache will definitely be on my short list. I think that they look great.
I would like to get a good rough water boat. I originally was thinking about a newer something. Sunsation was definitely on the list but I have since decided to scale back the amount I was going to spend so I will have to go a bit older. I will probably look at Panteras too. I have heard nothing but good things about them as well.
Again I am a few months away from doing anything.
Always fun to look though. :)
