To each their own. At least you are on the water. Beer goes down good on the water no matter what kind of boat you are on!!

I own a Fountain but help the local dealership here sell Baja's for the boat shows. They are all good boats! It is just matter of what "YOU" like the best and want to spend your money on!

Just my .02

Yes, quad bolsters is an option, and you do see some with all four bolsters. I usually don't have a big crowd with me, and I prefer the setup just the way I have it.

Duke, nothing fancy for power. Stock 502s

Here's a pic of the boat itself, in case someone here hasn't already seen it.

That is one of the best color schemes I have seen besides total custom. The graphic's are very nice also. Beautiful boat.

BAJA

They arnt bad boats ..But in my opinion anytime a boat is produced in huge numbers they get the rep of being a little weak in the quality/craftsmanship dept.. Also I never cared for the look ..always had too muche freeboard at the stern (boxy) ..Tere getting better looking though ..And im sure they are a great boat for the money ..Just not my first pick

Almost bought a 94 24 outlaw w/ 502 but some one beat me to it nice boat ,but i luv my sunsation and my next boat will probably be another sunsation . Just wondering why Baja doesn't use a stepped hull on their outlaw series boats?

Only Baja could tell you the answer to that for sure, but it is my guess that they would rather sell boats that handle very well, rather than to be known as the fastest. Just too many quirks with steps that can get a guy in trouble

I can tell you this, the Outlaw series rides like its on rails. In and out of a turn with no muss, no fuss.

Also, they most likely didn't want to get sued by every neophyte driver who didn't know how to drive and hurt someone.

Well put Waterboy!!

It's true, my 275 handles extremely well in the turns. The other thing I like about Baja's in general is the time to plane. I'd put that time up against any other boat with similar power. Most of my boating is on smaller inland lakes, and I'll trade some high end top speed for a great time to plane and "hook-free" almost idiot proof maneuverability.

i second that.
and while stepped hulls are fast to plane and have higher top end speeds due to less drag,i have no prob sacrificing that for hooking up better and a safer more stable ride.
always hearing horror stories about stepped hulls.even by guys used to driving them.
baja has it right with NOT going mainstream in that department. in fact they pride themselves in doing so.
personally,i went into a hard to stb torque steer last year that freaked me out. but the boat stayed up and everyone was hanging on. all made it through. on a stepped hull,i would have been toast.
far as hull integrity.......... stepped hull builders are still working on that issue from what i have read.
everything eventually gets perfected BUT i'll stick with a solid hull deep V till then. :winker:
