I think your point is bang on RJ. It really depends on your experience with the manufacturer. I used to have chrylser products. I had a horrible experience with one of them and with the dealer and Chrysler. The only way to say FU to them is to get rid of them and change manufacturers which I did and I guess have been driving Fords since with good luck. But every manufacturer can produce a lemon and hopefully we never get one again.

Actually I should add to what I said earlier. I had a '98 Expedition and it was a lemon with 12,000 dollars in warranty work. Torsion bars kept braking and a new engine among other things. It was a frustrating experience. But the dealer looked after my concerns without question. They didn't make excuses, they wanted me to be happy. They gave me loaners that weren't vehicles that weren't puddle jumpers and when I bought the '02 Expedition I got a letter from the president of Ford Canada with an additional $1,000.00 toward my new one. Since then I've bought 2 more vehicles for me and have had 2 others for my wife. I think stuff can happen no matter what the brand but it's how you get treated when it does that makes the difference.

i'm still trying to figure out the point and/or motive of this thread . were things too quiet or was this an indirect shot at another ford loving member ?either way , it dosen't look like it stirred any real emotion. the consensus seems to be they're all good and are there when we need them. :D
It's called a joke  :D

Probably why cars, trucks, boats, are always refered to as female.. i.e. shes a sweetheart of a truck, aint she a beauty?? etc.

The same goes for wimmen.. There`s good ones and some not so good, and bad.. ;) :p:

Wouldn`t mind a "BAD GIRL" once in a while.. :laugher: :laugher:

I actually liked my chevy enough to cut off the cab and make it a trailer. :laugher: :laugher:

Tell my you didn't buy that truck from the Boston, NY dealer... what's thier name...
Emerling Chevrolet!!!!!

Them guys are a-holes!!! Big time!!!!

I ordered a new 96 from them in all dark green. I paid extra money to have it custom painted in a delux 2 tone with tan in the middle. Just when it came in, I saw a fade paint job on a blue truck in the lot. I asked if they could paint my truck like that instead of the standard delux 2 tone. They willing accepted the job, but not after charging me additional money. So now I am up to $2000 extra for the custom paint.
Long story short, they painted it 3 times and still didn't get it right. So I took them to court and I was awarded $250. No even enough for materials to get the job done right.
They were completely not willing to work with me anymore. They refused to stand behind thier word, all they wanted was my money.

All three companies are manufacturing some really good trucks. Diesels are getting better and better. One thing though, you can make all that HP and Torque, but without a tranny to handle it, your asking for nothing but heartburn. GM Allison Transmission. The only real truck tranny. Period.

A girls truck, hardly... my current ride, 04 Chevy, raw big block power hooked up to the Allison---will smoke the dual on command!!! :D Unlike some other brands, it is quiet as can be. Hell it is quieter then my Dad's 05 Lincoln LS he just bought, and I must say, what a useless P.O.S. that thing is...

i enjoy all the back and forth jabs that we all throw , ford vs chevy vs dodge. thats americana at it's best. but all 3 companies are loosing market share to the asians. tell me that some of their parts are made in mexico or wherever , i don't care. at least the majority of the money we spend on them stays here , unlike the asian brands. i am very aware of how the $$$$ you spend on your chevy , ford or dodge gets recirculated so many times and eventually finds its way back to our pockets. and thats best for the usa. enjoy your ford g/m or dodge :fl3:
