So I'm seeing how everyone is getting their boats ready for summer, the new interiors, new paint jobs, new motors, etc. But I'm wondering has anyone been working on shrinking their beer guts so they look good on their good looking boats? :D Or maybe, you don't HAVE to look good on your good looking boat, that's the woman's job? I'm joking guys....................................

but I'm sitting at home sick today wishing I could have enough energy to go to the gym. After being "introduced" to everything that is boating last year, I'm trying to be prepared to be in a bikini every weekend! SO I'm doing everything short of plastic surgery to look good this year, working out almost everyday, tanning, and eating so healthy it would make you sick. All this and I might just do the surgery anyway, I've done some but it didn't turn out the way I expected it to, and it HURTS!
So I guess I'm just bored and wondering if it matters more that your boat looks great or that you look great in it. :D

Photochick,
Don't do the surgery! You may not like the results you are getting but just remember that eating healthy and exercising is doing your body good! Everybody looks good out on the water. :winker:

Ok before this thread gets too derailed............I was just wondering if anybody worked as hard on making themselves look good as they seem to do on their boats, not whether or not I should have surgery! I am just working like a crazy woman to look great for the summer. I'm not overweight or anything, I'm just not as young as I used to be! There are pictures of me on here somewhere, just not in a bikini! :D

don't be modest PC.... some of us know your a hottie...

Which surgery have you already done? YOu said it hurt.. I bet it does.. My X got breasts and she said it didn't feel good no, but I think she was so pleased with herself that it didn't matter...lol... yeah I know...

Personally I don't have to worry to much about weight.. I have always been skinny as a rail... Up until 2 years ago I still weighed around 145 or less!!!! Now I am up to 165 and it looks pretty good. I think all of us could gain by working out and excercising more. Eating right can't hurt.. That means no POP or McSUCKS...

If I worked as hard on myself as I do my boat I would look like a million bucks. But the fact is that I am not in my mid 20's anymore and working 10 hours a day doesn't leave much time for working out.
My goal is to lose 15lbs by May and I would be happy. :winker:

Yup, a few days after we decided to start losing weight the 2 cases of Girl Scout cookies came in.

This was last Friday.

I have finished one case  so when the second is gone then I will start the dieting.

Famous line:
I'll stop procrastinating tomorrow !

Oh boy !!!

PC,
You should know by now that Guys feel if they have a hot boat that's all they need........ and the babes will follow.....

Ron and I have let our selfs go this past winter and this week is my start of getting in Shape. Since we still have Snow My goal is by Memorial Day Weekend.
I will be hurting for the next 3 weeks . :(
Just My opinion, but I would give it a year before you decide on surgery. you are working out hard and eating right. and If you feel great and still want it then that is up to you.
P.S.
Hope you feel better.

Do you have to wear a safety restraint to stay in the boat under speed?

Wow! Good job! Seriously!

Last time I was at 165 scales where just being invented, so that weight may not have been too accurate.

I think if I got down to 200 or less I'd almost be invisible. :laugher: :laugher:

Well thanks GT..........I really didn't mean for this to turn into a plastic surgery thread! Oh well, maybe it'll be more interesting that way. I had some lipo done and it felt and looked like I had gotten beaten with a baseball bat! Anyway, not to get in to all the details but it's not the greatest decision I've ever made. I just had a little " mama " fat I couldn't get rid of, and it turned out to be a big ordeal with a not so great surgeon. Thank God I don't have to get boobs! If those were messed up I'd die. SO I've just gone back to my all healthy regimine for as long as I can stand it.........and I have to look good in the yellow bikini this summer! I just thought it was funny that Zen is always wanting to do something to the boat and I'm always wanting to look better on it, just wondered if anyone else had the same thing happening :)

Winter is tough on a person! I am struggling to stay under 170...keep in mind a year ago I was 193 and didn't look bad ( according to my wife) but I certainly didn't like it. I was up to 200 when I was lifting weights seriously several years ago. I f-edup my shoulder and quit lifting ( and moving all together )...my weight didn't change much, but WHERE the weight was certainly changed. Last summer I got sick of feeling like a lard A$$ and started jogging...starting at only a half mile ( nearly dieing ) working my way up to being able to knock off 3 miles each night without a problem, watched what I ate and dropped nearly 25 lbs. Have slacked off through the winter due to the cold but I haven't gained much..maybe 2-3 lbs so I am not too upset.

Yea...knowing the board shorts I wore last year ( and several years ago ) still fit is a good feeling.

Nothing worse than grabbing clothes you wore last summer and finding out they no longer fit :(

PC- We all think about this topic, we just don't verbalize it because we can't just go to the Speedwake Store and make ourselves look good like we can for our boats. I think Zen would agree with me when I say we could always look a little better but boating with the one you love is the best. It is more important to be healthy and the looks will come with health. I hope you feel better soon. :smile1:

Hey Girl! I know that all too well!

The weather is just starting to get pretty here in Texas so we'll be boating again soon..........maybe this weekend. I'm definitely waiting a while on the surgery thing, it's not a necessity. I've just got that "summer's coming!" panic I guess :D

SHIP.........congrats! It sounds like you put some hard work in!

Well I can honestly say that Ron, Bubba, Myself and others have been working diligently all winter to be ready for summer. Our beer drinking has kept us in the same areas of consumption, as we were acustomed to last summer. That being said, I guess our winter program worked out pretty good. ;) :D :drnk

I'm in stunned silent mode as I read this and don't have a clue what to say. Are you saying I'm getting fat?

Hell if I spent 1/2 the time making the boat look as good as PC does making herself look good, I'd have the only 24' Outerlimits in the world.

Ang, you are my baby, you look great just as you are, and you KNOW how I feel about surgery.

Thanks for the compliment hon, and this thread wasn't supposed to be all about surgery....GEEZ I just wanna wear that pretty yellow bikini this year!
