Looks great, and the triple outboards are an interesting set-up. Looks like it should provide a lot of hours of enjoyment and reliability.
You hit the nail on the head...
1. ENJOYMENT
2. RELIABILTY

3. NO ENGINE SOUND (LITERALLY)
4. PLANES ON 2 ENGINES!
5. DIGITAL SHIFTING, THROTTLES
6. POWER STEERING
7. 4 STROKE - NO OIL MIXING!

THESE ARE THE MAIN FACTORS...

Are you making the Oswego, NY Poker Run this summer with your 32 Hustler?

sweet boat=a;; the respect in the world toy you onit, i am just looking for the xatch!
NOT SURE WHAT YOUR POST READS? BUT TO ANSWER YOUR 1ST QUESTION:

IT'S THE VERY 1ST CAT (BEING 38' HULL LENGTH) WITH A "SUPERCAT LITE" LAYUP ON THE UPPER DECK, RUNNING TRIPLE VERADO 4 STROKE ENGINES OFFERED BY MERCURY. THERE'S BEEN 2 DEEP VEE TRIPLES DONE SO FAR, BUT THIS IS THE 1ST CAT IN THE COUNTRY WITH THIS VERADO SETUP. AGAIN, THERE'S ALOT OF "BRAND NEW" TECHNOLOGY USED IN THE WARCAT. WE HAVEN'T EVEN DISCUSSED THE CABIN UNDERNEATH YET!

So was gas economy the goal?

Or speed?

Seems kinda slow at WOT for a cat with trips.

Maybe your insurance agent reads this site, and you are sandbagging.

Usually tunnel hull plus trips equals 100plus.
"YES" Economy was one of the factors, plus many others.

After 2 meetings with Mercury officials in Fon Du Lac, Wisconsin, we already knew ahead of time, that the current lower units were not designed for hi-speed & low drag. However, their racing division is already working on something for the near future...

Personally, I gave up a few MPH from using the 300X's (w/Sportmasters) just to have the new technology, and for the 7 reasons mentioned above in post #45

my question, if this boat is going to hit 85+ mph., aren't you going to have to modify the lower units??? Don't believe those factory ones will do it...

Correct... for speeds above 85mph...

The boat "will" run 85MPH with the current lower units! Also, we have NOT touched the superchargers boost from the factory settings either... And that's a subject I won't talk about!!! :rambo:

Here's a boats favorite hangout!!!

Warcat,
Beautiful boat!!! Are you doing the Havasu poker run on the 30th of April.

Very Possible... I still need to get the trailer & boat registered!!! I had the boat in the water last week using Lakeland Marine's dealer tags! I'm not sure if I have any advantages from registering the CAT in:

Upstate NY
vs
Colorado
vs
Las Vegas

Any ideas/suggestions from you guys would be helpful...

Here's a pic of Lou & Richie drilling holes for the jig fixture on a vaccum seal, in-order to get the engine mount in place perfect! This was quite a task, and took many hours to build and complete. But it was done right!

I've been watching the WARCAT since you 1st posted what you were doing. I was thrown for a major loop when you put up the other day that you put the OB's on it.

I fully expected to see some major power on there in the form of I/B 850's or such.

I really want to see this sucker run with the quiet ones on it tho, it is totally unexpected. So when you get the "permission" to up the boost, you had better let us know. :p:

That's cool. Thanks for understanding that I wasn't dissing your boat. Just seems like you were doing things for very calculated reasons. Sheer speed didn't seem to be the top of the list.
Kind of refreshing, actually. I go with a heavier boat for the ride. Purposely giving up some speed for comfort in the rough chop.

It's always good to see different stuff.
Best of luck.

I don't think it slow. It's a 38' boat correct? With 825 HP. How fast would 36' Nortech with twin 496 HO's (850 HP)go? over 100? I dont think it would.

I think thats awesome, mid to upper 80's with that setup.

Then again I could be wrong....someone else want to chime in?
Good point. Forgot it was that big. Doesn't really look it.
HP to weight ratio would dictate that there's no way to pass 100 with that much boat and 825 total HP.
The cats that I am familiar with have way higher horsepower to weight ratios.
So... mid to upper eighties would be doing pretty darn good with that much boat and 825 HP.

I shoulda done the math.

Sunday morning no coffee. :D

I apologise about that message. i must have hit submit instead of spell check that day!

What i meant was, in a previous post you said you werent going to let the cat out of the bag yet and we will have to wait and see...... I was just wondering what the catch was that we were waiting to see! forgive me i do not follow cats, just not my personal interest, but thats niether here nor there! but i like fast boats....
you have a cool ride, and i didnt know thw light lay up and the triple outboards was the difference here!

either way glad to see it running and I didnt mean to make you; POST IN ALL CAPS!
