Bravo in gear

Never do this and I've seen this!

What's the best way to shift a Bravo 1 into neutral if it died in gear? I've seen the remote starter button method and pushing with a piece of wood (2x4 on prop)....any other ways?

just bump the starter as you pull back on cable to let the gear slide out of clutch

The easiest on the cable if your shifter is stiff is to disconnect the neutral safety switch start it in gear and shift to neutral. ( way overkill, just pull it to neutral )

I have shut mine off in gear once or twice but my drive shifts very easily so i just pulled it into neutral.

There is one guy on the board who will remain nameless that has just about had to put his foot on the dash and pull with both hands to get it out of gear while running and his shift cables are still ok, so I wouldnt worry about it to much.

The best way to do it takes 2 people,you have to jump the slave solenoid on the engine to crank it, at the same time have someone gently pull back on the control handle till it falls into neutral.
