well - we woke up to a very transitional day saturday morning in northern MD which lots of clouds, then sun, then clouds, then darker clouds and rain. I cut the grass and cleaned the boat early and the worked in the bilge for a while getting Escaped Lunatic really clean, then watched it rain heavily then tail off to a drizzle. Around noon I told Karen to "get ready" and we were off to the marina. Because of the threat of rain we kept travels short this weekend and headed to the Cheapeake Inn. Much to our surprise the place was packed in spite of dark skies and the threat of more rain. Andy; the most excellent dock master found us a great slip and we settled right in.

The sun came out and it got hot and forum member Wild Mike and another local friend came over to the boat and we sat below in the A/C and the most beautiful Greeneyedbeacher was kind enough to start making drinks for everyone - including many for herself!

right before dusk a really sweet Hustler 344 with 575SC's pulled in behind us with some great airbrush work. I've posted a picture below, but if you want to see the really cool airbrush work, you've got to visit the Dental Floss Gallery because the artisitry would violate forum rules on nudity!

enjoy

Karen rustled me from a sound sleep at 5 am this morning because it was drizzing and I had to put the cover on alone because she was nekkid....

Then the drizzle stopped at about 8 am and we took a short walk into town (2 blocks away) for breakfast. we got back and got the boat ready to pull out because the morning forecast was for rain. Even though the skies looked threatening we split for the 30 minute ride back to the marina... Of course 5 minutes into the return trip the skies opened up and we had to don our rain apparel.

Then we ran across forum member "Maui Girl" with his hatch open, but he was ok having sucked up some weeds in a creek they overnighted in..but had just cleared them out.

I cranked her up a little before more rain came our way and did most of the trip back at 80- mph...

It seemed like all my buddies had the same idea - put their boats back on the trailer and head home and get some work done around the house...

My buddy with his 36' Skater "Danger Zone" pulled right out after us...

what a sweet boat...

My weekend was great. went 60 miles, burned 1/2 tank of fuel and didn't break anything!. Rains came just when I closed the door on my truck to leave the marina sometime about midnight Saturday. Sunday was a work around the house day....again, didn't break anything :D
