There is a 26 Hustler on boatrader, 2000 w/ 454 MPI. 49K OBO,
Is that in NH ? The Hustler.

Was one locally (very locally) on a trailer for that amount of $$$. Don't know the year or engine. Was sitting there for 2 yrs almost. Haven't seen it out there for a while.

I think the boat looks blah, blah - same exact as pic above. I'd rather have it all white or something more flashy. Just seems very boring.

Jeff - for some reason the twins don't really go much faster. We have two twins nearby. Both Drivers said 454MPI's but I didn't take a look to confirm.

Anyway - they where some shocked when a single walked by them. This was when it was Procharged, of course,

but.....................

I can honestly tell you that for a 29'10" very roomy boat - they can motor with a single BBC.

I would have never believed it either, until test drove with the OE 502MPI.

Anyway - just saying people must ride on boats vs believing some guy they pull up to or meeting on the internet.

Including me !!! :laugher: :laugher: :laugher: :laugher:

Agreed, ride in what your seriuose about, crawl around undernieth and see how it fits yah!

I too like the Capions fit and finish! Thats why I was so disapointed with the twins! Strange why that boat isn't faster. Hell look at a 32 Sun with the same power, it'll walk all over that twin 30' Chase.

According to the marina, the 26 in GA was from OH and was sold by them to the current owner. It may not be the same boat, I will ask if I am interested.

I did talk to the salesman from Hustler a few weeks ago, I think his name was Brian. He didint know the boat but questioned why they would set up a boat w/ a ext box, hyd steering, k planes and a 454.

Apparently the original owner wanted to go big and never did.

You should ask yourself if you want to be able to stand when running! Alot of those in your poll you can only sit.
The only sit down boats I've been in were cats , but I'm not opposed to a sit down boat at all. Actually when I run hard in my boat I prefer to sit.

26 Hustler and 26 Sonic 's are cool but I've already got a 26' boat.

Good point CJ. I dont think I'd want to sit while running hard in a V either. Cant be too forgiving. I assume the bigger boats are much better; 47GTX, 42PR, Gladiator..
You don't have to bigger to stand, such as Active Thunder, Donzi, and of course Sunsation!

I like to stand when running hard in the rought stuff.

Looking for good ride, rigging, handlng, decent cabin and speed.
Remember, drives have a better chance of eting themselves when going into a bigger boat with a single.

Implanting your 540 will make things worse.

This means going to a lighter lay up boat with a narrower beam. Could be tough in the ruff stuff - so shop carefully.

29 Fountain is a good option. Fast, comes standard with all the good stuff,(Electic bolsters, race throttles, k-planes with indicators, race motor mounts, halon fire system) plus great boarding ladder, anchor locker, probably the largest cockpit space and decent cabin.
