Ok, my new boat came with heated storage for this winter. They sent me a flyer with a bunch of different "service options" that I could choose from but none of them included draining the block and putting anti-freeze in.

What type of service do you all recomend?

Even though it is heated storage, I still think I'm going to drain the block and fill it with antifreaze and do my normal stuff anyways, but I'm not sure how much I can do at the marina.
I might change the oil/filter this week then drop her in the water and take it back to the marina. Then call and have it put on a cleaning rack and do my winterization there.

Is it silly to winterize your boat even though it is in a heated storage place?

Your thoughts?

A buddy of mine keeps his 28 Cig inside his 75,000Sqft factory over winter. And believe it or not this is his normal winterizing routine.........
At the last run of the year fill up the tank with fresh gas and add the appropriate amount of stabil to the tank.....go run around for a few hours just to get your last fix of the year. When the boat gets to the factory he opens the block drains and takes out the drain screw from the seawater pump (he has the old steel type impellor body) and thats it!!! He leaves the boat loosly covered so air can get in and out but keep the dust out to a minimum and moves the boat by nessecity because they store classic cars during the winter but other then that he has never had a problem for the past 6years like this. They have had power failures but even with the power out for 2 days once it wasnt enough to lower the temps of the building enough to worry about freezing anything.
