Well I took the Dominator out on Sunday for sea trials to see what the 2 inch shorties were going to do for speed improvements, handling ect.
To start off she was a little hard to get on plane from cavitation but after a couple tries I had it down.
Secondly the boat handled fantastic and seemed to have less bow lift at WOT then before but more speed while running flatter which seemed to make it easier to control.
Third,at 4lbs of boost and 5200RPM's we peeled 95mph on the 1st pass and 97mph on the 2nd pass with 2 people and about 3/4 of a tank of fuel and about 6 inch chop on the water.
Feeling pretty good about the results, myself and fellow Speedwake member Dwight ran the river a couple times just to burn out some fuel to lighten the load before we made some changes for our last pass.
After getting her down to just over a 1/4 tank of fuel we decided to have NO MERCY. So off came the 4lbs pulleys and we installed the 7lbs pulleys, richened up the carbs and away we went.
We got to the big end of Hardy Damn to find about the same chop 6-8 inch. We mashed the throttles trimmed the drives and wound the engines up tighter than a fiddle string and let the BIG DOG EAT!!!
What we ened up with about gave me a heart attack!!!
YEAH BABY!!!!!!! :eek3:
