Pull the trigger. It's only money.Mopower said:Hmmmm , 4 to 5 mph more. That's just about what I need to make me happy(for thie time being)![]()
I think I remember seeing you there. Did you see me out there?smittyseng said:My boat (2000 baja 272 w/blown 540) runs 91.5 w/32 pitch at 5800 rpm's w/nose cone and ran 87.1 at hot boat weekend with same exact set-up except with my spare drive without a nosecone so its worth 4.4 mph on my boat, same with the 30 pitch,88-89 mph at 5900 w/nose cone and around 84 without it. The boat rpm's exactly the same with or without,it just drags in the water more without the nose cone. I need to try a imco shortie next year,Smitty
I know they are not cheap. But I can tell you first hand that I should of bought them a long time ago.Mopower said:Yeah and the next click to be heard will be the ol' lady pulling the trigger :laugher: :laugher:
$3612 X 2 from Speedwake![]()
That was with high boost so we will stick with the 5mph gig which put me at an easy 97mph with 4lbs of boost.cfm said:You got 18mph. What's that ? $77.77 per mph ?

I saw you launching saturday,my boat was sitting in the basin at bowers and I walked down to meet up with Kaama. My plug for my O2 sensor had fell out of exhaust manifold and I was thinking from the noise that something had broken in the valvetrain (it sounded more like a mettalic noise than a exhaust leak). Anyways,I loved the colors of your boat and tow rig but never saw you when we were on the water. Did you get a spot early and stay at party saturday,Smittydominator scott said:I think I remember seeing you there. Did you see me out there?
Be cautious about welding nose cones in place. The gearcase can be easily distorted by the heat.Mopower said:HnB ,
Mine was welded on , then Marine Texed and no probs in three years![]()
