I watched in amazement. I have done work on everyone of these kinds of trucks, been under and in them and driven them. I like how they pick on the littler parts of just one vehicle and not compare them to all. The best layed out and the most durable that I have seen is still the titan. They are really well constructed and well thought out. They even went as far to think about being able to get to the oil filter. And the Ford had the thinest sheet metal of all of them, I have seen aftermarket fenders that had thicker steel.

Funny thing about the Titan. Coming to work earlier this week I was behing a Titan and the bed of this thing was rocking side to side. It really looked bad. I have never seen a truck bed moving and buffeting around like that before. No damage to vehicle anywhere either. There's always a lemon out there with all the makes and there are some that never have problems. It's just the luck of the draw.

maybe maybe not . i have commented forever how the bed , bumper etc of toyotas visibly shake and move on expansion joints on the interstates of all places. i have seen the beds of chevys hit the cab just diagonally crossing a ditch. and in their own commercials a few years ago the front bumpers were shaking into the bottom of the grills on tv. in 04 , actually before this thing came out they beat the chit out of thesre things and the competition and that video (the 04) was shown to the salesmen at the dealer meeting. that video (04) should have been on tv. it was insane , just pushing stuff until it failed. but this (06)video wont change much .if you're a die hard dodge or g/m guy thats prolly what you'e going to buy. and if you're on your way to home depot for a bag of insulation , one of the japs might even do,

When I see the stuper duty ford pulling an icebreaker ship thru the artic ice i said wow. :laugher: :laugher:

Then the MO FO pulls an airplane off the runway, and it flys. Another wow. :laugher: :laugher: :laugher:

Another piece of propaganda from Ford. The only ones that believe this BS are the loyal ones.

Use to be a Ford person until I bought one of thier luxury Cars. Brandy new 1992 Lincoln Continental. Biggest POS in the world. You name it, it broke. Even the paint job went to hell after 3 years. Engine blew 1800 miles out of warranty. No Friggen help from ford.

Went back to Chrysler products in 1995, couldn`t be more satisfied.

I`ll admit, ya can get a lemon no matter what make.
But don`t try and BS me with schit like that video.

I`m off the soap box..

Thank you for listening.

These truck threads can get ugly. I didn't watch all the videos cause I'm at home, dial up. But the little bit of the handeling video I seen made me shake my head. They didn't tell us what the speeds were, and watching the front wheels of anything but the ford was interesting. All but the ford drivers would jerk the wheels hard, and at the last second for the course turn. The Ford driver did it well, no jerking, just smooth. Big difference in control.

Anyways, thats just the first video.

Another coment I would like to make, some will not like, if you are brand specific, I would say you are closed minded. Every year these manufactures build better and better trucks. Chevy's may have been very good late 80's early ninty's, but now, they have very dated tech and design. But that will change soon, and once it does, then Chevy will have the best truck that year.

I test drove a Ford F150 lariat with 29000 KM. The truck was very disapointing, and has since got me looking at a Toyota agian. The truck was loose, noisy, both inside and out side noise. The engine would cut out when I floored it. Not all the time, but 50% of the times. It just left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

I have tested a couple of Fords, and a couple of Toyotas. Each time I get out of the Fords, I think, "yah I guess that'll do. When ever I get out of the Toyota's I just plane want one.

But thats me.

3 people I know bought 03-05 Explorers.

ALL 3 had the trans let loose before 40,000 miles !!!!!!

The most aggressive drivers let loose at 17k. WARRANTY

My mothers let loose at 32k,,,, but ,,, get this 1 MONTH out of warranty,,, SORRY MAAM,,, Its out of warranty !!!!!!!!

Ill stick with GM thanks.

Everyone has their opinion on trucks. I will agree the newer dodges are alot better than say early to mid 90's. That whole front end suspension crap they had going on was a joke. After a little while it sounded like the front suspension was going to fall off. Oh yea weak trannys to. I dont have anything bad to say about ford they build a pretty good truck. I am a chevy fan myself, dont get me wrong they are all likely to have little problems, but they havent done me wrong yet. I couldnt see myself driving a toyota or something. Even if I have to drive American garbage.

Well I work at a ford store been a ford guy for years. I LOVE my f-150! Now i will say that i believe all manufaturers are building good products. It all depends on what you have had good luck with and the styling a person likes My .02 CB

I used to work for several American car manufacturers and Toyota. By far the Toyota was a much smoother running and more dependable automobile. As far as trucks go the big 3 still have the big truck market cornered. I do like the Titan's looks, but I have heard from several people that tow with them that the trannies are letting go. I just need to build my own using the Cummins engine from the Dodge and the Allison trans from the Chevy. Someone on the board here has a friend that built a super sized truck that was pretty cool.

Ditto.

But those of us that pulled big trailers and needed big beds that could carry big weight and the cab have enough room for 4-5 Amercian FAtties, had American full size trucks.

I have owned imports's and American made. My first car was a hand me down Honda from my parents went close to 214,000 then we traded it in. I also had a Mustang GT P.O.S. 80k and it was spanked. Ford explorer don't get me started this was by far the worst auto I have ever had every week something was broke Dodge trucks are the way to go most usable HP and toque, best looking, Hemi, Cummings, need I say more. Look out for the 4500 and 5500 Ram series coming soon......

shouldnt surprise anyone... everyone knows Ford is TOPS

Actually I would like to see the dodge with that enormous new Crew cab(not the xcab they call a crew)
