Funny thing about the Titan. Coming to work earlier this week I was behing a Titan and the bed of this thing was rocking side to side. It really looked bad. I have never seen a truck bed moving and buffeting around like that before. No damage to vehicle anywhere either. There's always a lemon out there with all the makes and there are some that never have problems. It's just the luck of the draw.clutch said:I watched in amazement. I have done work on everyone of these kinds of trucks, been under and in them and driven them. I like how they pick on the littler parts of just one vehicle and not compare them to all. The best layed out and the most durable that I have seen is still the titan. They are really well constructed and well thought out. They even went as far to think about being able to get to the oil filter. And the Ford had the thinest sheet metal of all of them, I have seen aftermarket fenders that had thicker steel.
maybe maybe not . i have commented forever how the bed , bumper etc of toyotas visibly shake and move on expansion joints on the interstates of all places. i have seen the beds of chevys hit the cab just diagonally crossing a ditch. and in their own commercials a few years ago the front bumpers were shaking into the bottom of the grills on tv. in 04 , actually before this thing came out they beat the chit out of thesre things and the competition and that video (the 04) was shown to the salesmen at the dealer meeting. that video (04) should have been on tv. it was insane , just pushing stuff until it failed. but this (06)video wont change much .if you're a die hard dodge or g/m guy thats prolly what you'e going to buy. and if you're on your way to home depot for a bag of insulation , one of the japs might even do,hap hazzard said:Funny thing about the Titan. Ditto.quadracr said:I used to work for several American car manufacturers and Toyota. By far the Toyota was a much smoother running and more dependable automobile.
