I'm not trying to start a pissing match or anything like that. It just seems like people cry when Baja gets cut down. Then do the same to another brand. Sheesh.

Your link points to my post. If you read it right I was saying that using the word "junk" to describe a sunsation wasn't accurate. I don't bash any boat and I don't cry when someones talks about Baja's. I happen to have a nice one that fits my needs just right. I know a few Sunsation owners on here that love theirs.

I don't post here much, but this one provoked me.

Baja owners calling Sunsation boats Junk? Are you eff-ing kidding me? I don't believe I have read a more ridiculous statement, EVER. Baja builds nice boats. Sunsation builds better ones. Period.
Oh and by the way one person calling a sunsation junk doesn't mean that ALL Baja owners think that way. One guy made the comment. This is like JR high crap

I read all that at TBM earlier today and didn't post on it, but I'm glad it was brought up here so you could get some HONEST opinions from people who actually own one. I've seriously thought about a 28 or 32 sun after selling my Baja. If i had to take a 28 Sun vs a 29 Outlaw, I'd take the Baja due to more creature conforts and twins, but if there was a 32 Sun in the equation, no question, I'd take the Sun.

I never heard of the 29 issue either. That's not a good thing if it is true
From what I've been told and I even asked Baja, the 97's and later models had "some isolated incidents of stringer failer in larger twin engine (big block) boats. After 2001, Baja marine uses only offshore mounts on all twin engine application's." So, I think it might have been more of a motor mount issue that did not have enough surface area on a stringer rather than the stringer itself that caused some failures. I also think a survey would detect any such issue. It's a shame, cause it scared me away from a 98ish 29, which what is what I originally wanted.

All I can say is drive the sunsation, I test drove a 288 yesterday and it was an awesome boat. Now I decided 100% thats is what im buying! just got to find the right one......

Bottom line, drive one like the previous poster did and you'll see what EVERY owner who ACTUALLY has drove a 288 loves about em.. There is a reason why you NEVER hear actual Owners complain about their Sunsations, weather it be ride, handling, fit/finish or factory support issues .

Some of the postings over on that link given earlier in this thread are nothing more then B.S. postings period..
