Scarab question

Hi All,

I'm new here and I have a question. I'm looking at buying a Scarab (I've always wanted one). My question is the boat I'm looking at is advertised as a Wellcraft
Scarrab (with 2 r's) is this a type-o or did Wellcraft do a knock-off of the original Scarab? It's an "87" 37' in Annapolis, Md. Asking 29,900.00. Any info. you guys can give me would be appreciated. Thanks.

Never heard of on with 2 r's most be a miss print.

Thanks for the info. I kinda figured that, I just wanted to make sure. I love these boats I just don't know alot about them or their history. Thanks again. I'm gonna look into buying it.

yep...miss print..Larry Smith's ...went by "TEAM SCARAB"...Tell more about the 37.....check thr serial # in the starboard transom outside under the rub rail... should start with "WE"...and if it end sin "KV"..ITS A kevlar hull....

Do you know anything about this boat? And is a Kevlar Hull better or worse than a Fiberglass?

Kevlar is lighter and stronger than fiberglass...thats a AWESOME boat...rock solid....quite a few still out there.. thats the 'MIAMI VICE" boat... has it been updated at all?...whats the power ?...TRS DRIVES ?

Sulfur see if you can get any pic and post.

Dave if thats a 38 kv you might have to fight sulfur for it. I might even join in the rumble.

Its advertised as a 37' in Annapolis, Md. They havent replied as of yet. No fightin' here...LOL I'm not to happy with the color anyway. As I said before its been about 3 days and nothing. I'll try to e-mail them again.

Sulfur...are you looking for a project or turn key?...theres two 37 's in Cleveland ones a staggered engines...that are all original... but can be updated..
