I have been thinking about this and was wondering everyones elses thoughts on this idea. If because of your budget. Would you sell your current boat and buy a boat a few years older if you could go bigger???

I came acrossed a killer deal a few months ago on a 85 cig mistress with blown 522's and new interior for next to nothing. I was ready to plunge backwards and do what ever it took to get it. The seller (E-bay) decided to renege on the sale for a higher bid than his buy it now,Smitty

I would in a heart beat. As long as the boat was in excellent condition, I see no problem going older. I did this with my current boat. My style of boat (sport cruisers) were built like tanks. They have solid fiberglass hulls that were made really thick because the factory thought more was better.

I have been thinking about this ever since I put my boat on the market. I have been looking at moving back a year or two to move up three to four feet. For some reason it just seems hard to do. I was hoping this thread would make me feel more comfortable with my decision.

Depending on how large an investment your willing to make, will weigh in on your decision.

I know if and when i sell the fastech, I won`t hesitate to buy an older Formula, 311, or 357, or a 32-35 Fountain..

I`m just curious as to why it is hard for you. I think that boats and women are alike when it comes to age. . . It doesn`t matter how old they are as long as they look good and have a nice pair of twins...... :laugher: :laugher: :laugher: :laugher:
