Well this is the Mrs. again!

Just got home from being at the hospital and he is going to be ok!!! He came out of surgery at about 10:30 and was back in his room wanting something to eat at noon! :)

He has a pin going through his wrist right now that will be removed in 3 weeks. He didn't have to have the plate because they were able to repair the bone!! :) His muscle in his arm is the issue now. The surgeon said that he will only have about a 45 degree turn both ways from now on, but his upper arm should be able to compenstate for it. So in do time with therapy we shall see!

All in all, he was very lucky! He had an extremely serious injury that they were able to repair the best they could. He still has all feeling in his hand and is able to move all fingers!!!! So that is a good sign! The one thing he doesn't like is being in a cast passed his elbow and having an itch!!!! :angry1: :unhappy1:

He of course wants to get home ASAP - if he had it his way he would have been home writing this himself! But the Dr. told me this morning that it may not be until Monday (of course he had some choice words about that ), we have to wait and see how he does tonight and tomorrow.

I will keep everyone posted tomorrow if he isn't able to do it himself. Thank you all for the well wishes and thoughts and prayers!

I will let him know if the morning that everyone is thinking of him again!

Great news. Glad to here there was no neurolgical damage. I busted most of the bones in my buddy and lost some mobility. You learn to compensate and dont even notice it after awhile.
Go rent the movie "What The Bleep Do We Know". Puts a unique spin on mind over matter that may help in his recovery.

 Sorry I haven't been on this weekend, so I just saw this :xz. I'm glad to hear Dennis' surgery went well, and he's in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. If he's anything like Jeff, it will be had to get him to follow dr's orders, but with a great nurse at home, he'll get through it. :D Just don't let him slack on his PT... it will make a huge difference! :D

Obnoxus (Forum Moderator) was injured a few hours ago in a work accident.

I just talked with him and Mrs. OB and Denny's right forearm was badly broken while he was repairing a hydraulic lift truck. He will be going into surgery at 8am Saturday morning for further repair and setting. The prognosis is good and he is expected to have a full recovery, but it will take some time. He will need to have a steel plate installed in the surgery.

So please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. He can use all of the support he can get from us here at Speedwake.

Yes we will!

Well he is home safe and sound! He took a pill and went to bed....he is really tired because he hasn't gotten any sleep for 2 days!

I am sure he will be on again soon!

Thanks again everyone!

Mrs. OB
