I guess I can't get it out of my system. I thought the purchase of a quad would ameliorate my need for a bike sitting in the garage (although I think street riding sucks), but it hasn't.

So, I've been looking for one of two bikes. A Kwak H1 or a VF500R - 94 or 85 vintage with the chin fairing and exposed engine.

There are two near me for sale. I'm afraid that one of them is going to wind up in my garage by this coming Sunday morning...and then I think I'll find another one for Karen to ride...

I am always partial to Honda bikes, but my first sportbike was a Suzuki 1988 Katana 600. While not the fastest of the 600's by anymeans, there was this hot girl in the neighborhood, "Katrina" and she liked the bike and called it Katrina rather than Katana. Her positive opinion about the bike with her positive chest size was a plus, making this my favorite bike. :D

Here's a pic of my favorite bike. It's a 1976 Penton 400GS. Its got 416 original miles. It was ran in the 1976 Jackpine 2 day qualifier for the ISDT and then put in storage for 20 years.

Jeff,

Denny Hedja (maintains mant high end poker run boats) has a pair of mint condition H1 Kawasaki's.

Jeff,I used to have a 1986 750 Interceptor and absolutely loved that bike. It looked like brand new and was 8 years old when I got it. Ended up putting a pipe on it along with a bunch of other trick stuff.
We took it in on trade at the dealership I was working at for $1100.00 so I snagged it and rode it for 3 seasons and sold it for $3800.00. Looking back now I should of kept that bike.

1953 Indian Chief, my Dad had one when I was a kid. He's still riding, only now it's a new Yamaha Road Star.

My favorite road bike was my '92 Harley FXSTC. Probably most fun bike I ever had was a '73 Honda 250XL dirt bike. It was cammed and geared with front & rear knobbies that would go anywhere but down the highway! :D

My dad bought a used BMW R90S in 1977 and I stole that bike every chance I got. You didn't see very many of them and it was smooth riding and fast enough. He still has it but doesn't ride anymore and will not sell it to me. :angry1:
