A friend is seriously looking at this boat and would like to know some more about it. There isnt alot of details in the ad and before he heads all the way there - he would like to have more confidence it is worth the trip.

Anyone know this boat?

Anyone near this boat to give it a quick check out for us?

It seems like a pretty good deal and we are hoping it isnt too good to be true.

Any help would certainly be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!!!

242 Formula

I'm right there and could take a look for you, but not until next Tuesday. I don't know it, nor have I ever seen it before on the river or local lakes, but that could jsut be because of my no-weekends off schedule.

CFM- How in the world do you see 4 trim tabs from a bow shot? :p:

Okay, I thought I was contributing to a joke but now I'm starting to feel like I am the joke. :laugher: :laugher:

I see no link nor a picture - so I was just making fun. I thought the post before mine was making fun also.

What am I missing or are you guys joking and now I'm serious. :laugher: :laugher: :laugher:

That must be a slug on the water with a 350. Even with a 454 mag I bet it would have a hard time seeing 57-58. But they are nice boats. Personally I would look for one with a big block/bravo combo. or twin 350's in a Four Winns Liberator 241.

every boat this size eventually gets compared to, or someone refers to a four winns liberator... what is up with that

The 242 is a nice hull. But, it is a heavy boat. IMHO this boat is seriously underpowered for the hull. I would look for one with big block & bravo, or the more rare twin small blocks with alphas. Even with twin small blocks, it is only a 65 MPH boat. With a single small block, you may not even crack 50 MPH.
