Using prop calculator to find slip numbers and have a question. Should the slip numbers be consistant up through the rpm range? Will you have the same slip at 3500 as 5000 rpm? When people talk about slip numbers are they calculated @ WOT?

I have tried a couple of props and have the same results. One is consistant and one slips more in the mid-range. The one that is consistant is a 3 blade Mirage + and the one that slips in the mid-range is a 4 blade Bravo 1. But the Bravo prop does has a ding in it. I am thinking this is what made it slip more than the 3 blade as I did not expect a 4 blade to slip more than a 3 blade. If I am correct I will have to send it to Throttle-Up for repair. In the mean time I am going to try next pitch up Mirage+.

Remember though, Bravo I props are stamped 1 pitch higher than they actually are...I too would have a hard time believing that a 4 blade would have more mid range slip than a 3  .
