I would appreciate a little help.
I just pulled the motor out of my 27' Fountain Fever. It has a 502 motor completely bone stock with a little over 700 hours. The motor has never been out of the boat before and it runs fine, I figured it is best to do a little preventative maintenance and rebuild it now rather than wait till it blows.
So here is what I am looking for:
Reliability
a little more power
reliability
the motor says 415 h.p. I would like to achieve around 500 h.p. or so. What do I need to do. If anyone has a proven combination of what I need to purchase let me know. I am dropping the engine off to the engine builder and I want to tell him what to do soon.

Don't know many people who aren't looking to go faster or have more power.
