Jeff,
my dealer called and said that my 1098 will be here the last week of April. The price was list plus about $900 in freight and setup, etc. Total of about $17400 otd. What kind of prices are you seeing up there??? Are you getting deals??

Whoo waaaa! nice ride!! I wanted to force feed my blackbird, but alas she is stock. But the old fart is paid for, and she has done multiple 1/4 miles, and a track day at Louden in NH. I'm on dial up, other wise Id post a pic of the old rat bike. :p:
My first ride was a Blackbird. I had it set up perfect for country riding. Geared, suspension upgrade, single side Micron, jetted, sport skinz, oh yeah! I tried to lighten her up as much as a could without going total carbon fiber. She would fly & hang with the lighter bikes through the twisties. Came into hard sweeping right, rubbed the lower fairing and then decided to go liter bike. But I sure loved that Blackbird!

I have serious "history" with the local dealer, but there's a waiting list so the best I can do in the first batch is at list price + $300 prep.

by the way: Do you know Fred Renz, if not... you should...

I'd probably opt for the S version anyway, since it's a better deal based on the add on goodies.

:)

Hey Mirage... that Matchless is spectacular! An old friend of mine owns "the" Vincent that set the land speed record for 2 wheelers in the early 50's.... actually he died a couple years ago & his daughter... who is in her 60's still has the bike.... she doesn't want to part with it... unfortunaltely :(
