i just bought a liberator, and it has 460. not sure of the problem just yet, but if it did need an overhaul. i have chevy bellhousing, and a few big blocks. seems to me the chevy could be bulit alot taller for what it would cost to repair ford.

some one correct me if im wrong, but there were some BBC hooked to OMCs back years ago

that should just be a part # swap for the bellhousing, now the crank center for where the motormounts are now.............couldnt tell ya

i wouldnt plan on alot of HP to the cobra either :confused1

If it is a king cobra outdrive it will take alot of power. i gentleman on this board and a pair of 540 cube fords hooked to a king cobra and no problems. :D

I had an '88 Liberator 460 King Cobra and built a 540 Ford as cheaply as a Chevy. 638 Hp and 710 ft lbs torque (dynoed). Just no straight arm hole shots and watch catching air. Boat ran like a bat out a hell :D
