As most are aware, we have had quite a bit of rain this past month in Texas. Lake Texoma is huge at the moment and growing quickly. We're currently close to 626 level, which is 7-8ft above conservation level, and it's expected to reach 633 by July 4th. The 633 is conservative estimate if the rain begins to stop. At the projected level, we'll have 8ft of water in our parking lot. Here's the situation from the corp:
US ARMY CORP UPDATE
The current forecast crest on Lake Texoma is now 633.0 on/about 07/04/07.
Pool elevation is 625.39 feet on Wednesday 27Jun07 Time: 1000 hours.
Projected releases are to increase to 18,000 cfs midday on the 28th.
This is all a prediction and can be upset by significant rain fall.
The US Army Corps Spillway ramp is open at this time.

Lakeside South and West
Juniper Point East & West
West Burns Run
Platter
Johnson Creek

The I35 bridge over the Red River may be closed later today because of massive trees in the river.
The first pic is Highport's parking lot. The parking lot will be 8ft deep by the 4th. The second pic is Pompano's Bar at Highport. The water level will reach the the roof. Looks like it's going to be a screwed up 4th for Texoma boaters.
