This is what is left of a 1989 Sea Ray 300 Sedan. It caught on fire without any dockside electricity attached to it.

Once the fire was out the boat was pulled to the travel lift well to be hauled out. When she was lifted she fell port side down. The yard crew tried to pick her up to at least get her on land. She jerked a couple of time, and burst into flames. It looks like the lifting strap went through the port fuel tank.

That is when the second explosion occurred, destroying the travel lift well, and doing significant damage to the lift itself.

Amazingly no one was hurt!!!!

The pics were taken with my phone, so the quality is not too good.

what was left of the boat

This is what was left of the Boat, Travel Lift, and Lift Well. At 8PM the lift well started up again. I was told at 1AM the lift well started burning once more, and at 3AM the fire company was back to put out the dock where the fire had started.

Did we all make sure we paid our boat insurance this month?

Maybe my mailman is doing the forum selections.

He couldn't deliver the mail to the correct addresses if the envelopes had voice capability telling him what the numbers were!
