Come join P29steve and I wednesday night at Cecil County Dragway for Boater's night off.

P29steve and I will be joining a new Speedwake member who owns a Quad that runs the 1/4 mile in about 9.2 seconds. I may load the Ducati in the truck and bring it over too....

for a little red neck action!

wow that things crazy...I'd hate to be on that thing when the belt lets loose!!! had it happen to an old snowmobile years back and the belt came through the hood of the sled!!!
I hear that! I'm assuming(and hoping) there is a full clutch cover for it. Preferably reinforced with kevlar!

Wow, some very cool hardware.

I can't believe you run that quad with no clutch gard.
years back we had a prostock sled that we ran on the ashpalt and a belt let go and even with the gard it tore a bunch of stuff up.

Man, seeing that Camaro really makes me miss having a drag car. Although the street racer in me prefers very fast small tire cars.
One of my friends customers has a 90's notchback Stang with SBF, single turbo, glide, STOCK rear suspension and a drag radial. I've seen that car go 7:80's and not really leaning on it. The last time at the track he was leaning on it and it stood up on the bumper at mid track.
The car i did fall in love with is another one of his customers cars. It is a late (last?) model Camaro called "orange crush". It's got a ladder bar, "w" tire and a twin turboed SBC, and I've seen him run 3 200+ mph passes in a row. The car doesnt even have a hood scoop, it almost looks like a stock street car.

Turbos seem to be the way to go in a car nowadays.
