I've been reading TD's posts from day one with great interest. He has a very interesting boat and I think he has potential to run mid 90's at most. But I was hoping all along that he would step up to the plate and provide proof he can break 100. We gave him too many opportunities to do so and he failed. I assume he never did get 100+. I guess we'll never know now.

Too bad he had to post the way he did instead of acting mature and provide proof. That's all it would take to gain our respect.

It was almost like he was begging to get booted. Perhaps he was getting backed into a corner and knew he didn't have proof? I still hope someone from here will pay him a visit and see for themselves what his boat will do.

I have been to see the boat. As stated before, the drive was not on it, but I did here it run. It is a pretty wild set up. 8000+ rpm small block. (Unless his tach is off) I would like to see it on the water and will probably make the trip to Jersey to do so. I am interested in his drive setup for my boat. Alpha SS's are too hard to find and I don't know if the value of my boat would be worth the Bravo/Imco shorty swap.

If and when I have the oppurtunity to see the boat on the water I will have my video cam, and I will be more than happy to post it.

I don't know how you arrive at your numbers but I know the boat beats the 101 he posted with no nos.I ran into a guy with a 434 small block challenger that was dusted by TD.The challenger was gps'd at 85 buy someone other than the owner. He said TD ripped past him like he was standing still. He has a Scott Schaffroth[sp] motor.

Guys...an 8000rpm small block is not really that big of a deal these days or even remotely unbelievable...cup cars and circle track guys turn those rpm's for lengthy periods of time EVERY weekend.. ;) with realtively few problems. I don't disbelieve the number or the ability to turn it for some time. IMO the drive would be the weak link, but I really don't know Alpha's. I do know Bravos are modded regularly to turn 7500rpm for short bursts...and no one in their right mind believes the WFO for 45min hoopla....But Steve Schmidt builds some Nasty motors, and small blocks are almost bullet proof...

We all need to realize a 5200rpm 500hp 502" BBC is a puss motor, I mean almost an absolute joke ;) compared to whats out there. But they are designed to survive those extended 5yr warrenty periods and do it well.

Want to talk power? How about an all aluminum 427" LS7 corvette motor, marinized, with a blow through pro charged set up that throws down 975HP on pump gas at 7000rpm...Run into one of these puppys and you might get totally embarassed with a "middle of the road" 600" roots blower powered boat... that sbc package is going to be ~400# lighter to start... ;) and will likely make a lot of grown men cry!
