Snake, that is a bad little boat.. Going to try and do the same...

But from what i hear the hardest part is getting it to plane off right..

So i am thinking a jack plate might be in order, is that little rocket yours?

cool. Is that a cougar cub ??? what hp ? power trim ?

Mine is a 13' minicat. looks just like yours w/ a 70hp merc w/ a 1' setback. I had alot of trouble planning. I bought a hydraulic jackplate, but that still didn't help much. I did get it to plane i time with 150lbs worth of concrete mix in the bow (still in bags of course). since I didn't have power trim, once it planed off I couldnt get the bow up, and it plowed and bow steered. I ran it around for a bit, then had a motor noise. been sitting in my yard ever since. I just cleaned a spot in my garage and will work on it this winter.

If yours doesn't have power trim, you should look into it......I'm going to.

Yeah i remember yours marky mark, was trying to talk you into selling it to mee..

So far what i have heard is power trim and a jack plate..

Keep me posted, its going to get the transom redone along with a new paint job, also going to make a tandom axel mini trailer for it so it looks like the big boys.. :D :D

Should be a fun project and calm me down untill the moneys in the bank for the real deal...

Belongs to a friend.. If he ever decides to sell, i'm the first in line.. It looks like new.. :D

Its a 30 hp mercury 300... No i am not going to try and run it before, well it wasn't in my plan any how..

I have tried to start the engine, turns over and has good compression, but i think i am going to have to remove the carbs and get them cleaned up... Doesn't see to be getting gas..

I will probably be selling the engine and putting the 50 hp i have on it. It has tilt and trim, just curios if i should also be putting a jack plate on as well...

Transome is cracked so i know it wont hold the fifty as is so it will be next spring before her maiden voyage, unless i get the 30hp running...
