From other posts about my ideling issue I had thought I checked the carb gasket but apparently it shows its ugly face now. I have put on 4 Qjet gaskets and all are leaking. Not in one spot. ALL AROUND. It does this when I turn off the motor. Its enough gas to fill up the reliefs on the intake. I have cranked on the bolts but no dice. It looks like the gasket is absorbing the gas and leaks it out. I see tiny tiny bubbes in the gas as it comes out. Any iders?

Maybe lol. I bought the only felpro one at advance that they had and autozone had 3 mr gasket ones. Felpro makes a 1/4in thick black gasket. Should I try that one? Why is the gas pushing out? Its not like it has a place to settle or anything. I see tiny tiny bubbles when it presses out.

What kind of fuel pump do you have?, and what is the fuel pressure when running.. I'm just guessing at this point because I can't see it, wondering if the pressure is too high for your float needle valve, float is out of spec., OR a fuel bowl vent is plugged.
Where Exactly is it leaking from,???
Top, bottom, everywhere?

Sounds like the well plugs on the bottom of the body may be leaking. Or as was said before the needle may not be holding causing the bowl to overflow. Also the emulsion tubes can siphon if they become coated and the little holes in the sides are plugged. Fuel can only come through fuel channels. The base gasket could not be the cause.

I would never consider the Edelbrock.
