As some of you might have read from the liberator post, I have just recently put a deposit in a 1992 201 liberator. The interior, deck, and hull sides look to be in perfect condition. I have seen pictures of the boat on the trailer when the owner purchased it in the spring, but it was in the water when I went to look at it. The owner told me that it was only in the water because the trailer needed brakes and tires, so the boat sat for 3 weeks in the canal. Should I be concerned about that? It does not have bottom paint and talking with the owner last night, he said he got 70% of everything off the hull with just a power washer and he was going to work on it some more tonight. Should I be at all concerned about this or am I just being paranoid? Only reason I am paranoid is the last boat that I purchased was shrink wrapped and I could not see most of the hull, but after spring came and I pulled the shrink wrap off, the boat has some nasty water line stains that were almost impossible to remove.
Thanks, and sorry for the lengthy post.
